"Now you have a place where you can keep all those brilliant ideas of yours and no one can read them. Only I can take off the charm now, but no need to worry, we'll just transfer it to you."
Riddle nodded again, examining the diary with curiosity. Diana was definitely waiting for some kind of reaction.
"Well, do you like it?" she asked and Riddle eventually looked up at her from the diary. Then he smiled, but it was a weird smile; a wicked smile.
"I do," he replied shortly and Diana gave him a very genuine smile, apparently untouched by his earlier one.
Harry barely absorbed everything that had happened before the scene in front of him changed again. This time, it was the corridor in the dungeons, the one he hated so much, because it led to Snape's classroom. There were Diana and Edward again, both of them looking rather angry.
"Are you with Riddle?" Edward hissed at her.
"What?"
"Are you Riddle's girlfriend?!" he shouted this time and Diana seemed uncomfortable.
"No, I mean... I don't kn..."
"Is there anything between you two?" he cut her off. Diana looked a bit scared.
"You know very well he isn't very talkative and..."
"Oh, I beg to differ," he interrupted her again. "Tell me he doesn't talk with you."
"What's your point, Edward?" she said definitely, finally composing herself. "You're only annoying me now. Sorry not sorry, but I have to patrol the corridors now. With Tom, before you ask," she pushed him a bit aside and walked away quickly.
The brown-haired boy waited a few seconds, then followed her.
Soon, he caught up with her and hid in the first empty classroom, then opened the door a bit to watch her and Riddle whom she met.
"I hope nothing happens today, I don't have much will to scold people," Diana yawned. Riddle said nothing.
Then the scene shifted very suddenly. They were in another corridor and Edward was hiding behind a pillar.
"Hey, you promised to tell me something yesterday," Diana said out of the blue.
"Right," Riddle replied, expressionless. "Do you know what Little Hangleton is?"
"Little Hangleton..." Diana frowned and seemed to be thinking hard, "isn't that a Muggle village somewhere in England? That it is claimed has magical residents? I think I've read about that somewhere... Slytherin's descendants? Is that it?"
"Apparently it's where my descendants come from," he explained. Diana looked at him with huge eyes.
"You're telling me now you're his heir or something?" she laughed and he suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"What's wrong?" she asked and then stepped back. Riddle was glaring at her and her face got a shade brighter.
Harry watched the girl with anxiety. He could tell she had seen the red gleam in his eyes and she was definitely scared.
"You think it's funny?" he hissed in a voice that sounded as little human as ever. "You don't even know...You don't even know what I'm capable of, do you want me to prove it to you? Or you'll take back what you said?"
Diana stepped back again. Edward was watching the two of them, looking no less frightened than her. There was a short silence.
"I'm scared of you," she spoke finally, as though reading Harry's thoughts. "I... I don't know, you've changed. A lot."
