Dear Mr. Lester,
My daughter has just had to be flown out to London and she's a big fan of yours. My wife and I, unfortunately, can't be there for her. Our work is much more important.
My daughter, you see, has cancer. There's no hope left in the USA. To get the medical attention she needs, we shipped her off. She's just a distraction anyways. My wife and I are very busy people and can't keep rushing her to the hospital.
Do me a favor and visit her in the hospital? I'll send you 1,000,000 pounds for going through the trouble of meeting that brat.
Mr. Johnson
Mr. Johnson prided in his work. With his wife by his side, he owned 3 major companies and 4 different banks. He never wanted a family. His wife and he had only married to combine their businesses. They never even wanted children. Their first son died at birth, their first daughter drowned at a year old, their second son was kidnapped at 5 and found dead a week later, and lastly they had their youngest son and daughter.
Lola Lillian is the last one left. She stands at five foot six with naturally white hair and light blue eyes that look grey. She lies asleep in an unknown country with no family near by.
Lola wasn't the youngest though. At least not the only one. She had a twin named James Marcus. Growing up, the two of them were raised by nannies and never spent time apart. It was rare that they spent time with their parents.
Lola still thinks about him everyday. They were 7 when he died. He went to a boyscouts camp for the summer when she went to a music camp. When she returned she found her brother wouldn't be returning. They don't talk about that summer.
Now, she's 15. Even on her deathbed, her parents couldn't care less. They always put her in the fanciest of private schools and bought her everything she could ever dream of. And she never asked for much. She'd ask for time with her parents and they would buy her a pony instead. She would ask to go to a normal school and they would send her on vacation to the Bahamas. It's almost like they were trying to hide her.
But there's no hiding her now. It's no secret that this young, wild teenager was the daughter of a billionaire. At least not a secret to people that care about that stuff. She liked it when she could make friends without them noticing who she was. She enjoyed going to concerts and meeting her favorite bands without being ambushed or being surrounded by security.
The tabloids keep track of their family. At least until they caught wind of her cancer last year. They stopped caring about her and focused on her parents again. She was, once again, a nobody.
Phil Lester on the other hand, was a somebody. On the internet, he was adored by millions of people. He made a living making YouTube videos under the name AmazingPhil. He had just turned 30 and lives with his best friend Dan Howell in London. Together they spread happiness. Dan runs his own channel Danisnotonfire. Together they have made two books and went on tour to meet fans around the world. On the side, they share a gaming channel called DanAndPhilGames.
This is their story.
