Melanie sat cross legged on top of a mausoleum as the witches kept the pregnant wolf girl at bay. It hadn't taken very long into her "looking" into things when she discovered the hidden gem that was pregnant Hayley. She easily acquired her and let Sophie know of the very interesting information she'd stumbled upon.

"So, Hayley, how was it? I never pictured Klaus as the one and done type. I personally thought that sociopathic attitude was a pussy  repellent."

Hayley growled. "What is it that you want from me? Who are you?" She questioned looking at Melanie frustrated. Melanie shrugged sensing the anger and dislike coming from the girl. She smirked as the question "How do you know Klaus?" floated around Hayley's head.

"You wanna know how I know Klaus? Well why didn't you just ask honeybun? I've been around for a very very long time. The Mikaelson's and I go way back."

Hayley looked at her confused. "I didn't ask....."

Melanie smirked, crystal eyes gleaming mischievously. "I know. You thought it."

     "You can read minds?"

"Oh yeah hun, I can do a lot."

Melanie laughed as Hayley waited for her to demonstrate her point. "Not now. In due time."  She mentally laughed as Hayley worried about the safety of her thoughts. In all honesty there was no such thing as "safe" thoughts around Melanie. She'd been through it all and knew how to weed through fake thoughts and real thoughts. There was nothing you could do or say that she wouldn't know about, unless you happened to master the technique of acting without thinking. A rare attribute that no one had yet to conquer.

"And to answer your actual questions. I personally want nothing from you. These witches though? Can't say the same."

"Then why would you bring me to them?" She huffed clearly very upset with the girl.

Melanie held her hands up in defense. "Hey, someone died summoning me here. The very least I could do was help out just a tiny bit." In all actuality the fact that Hayley was pregnant made Melanie want to protect the girl. Unfortunately like she said, someone had died to get her here so she had to get her hands a little dirty. "If anything I'm not here to hurt you. You can trust me." Melanie said as her pupils dilated and a sense of security washed over Hayley. She wasn't "compelling" her by vampire definition but she definitely was using her ability as an empath to causally sway Hayley's feelings towards her.

Hayley nodded completely trusting Melanie. She would easily leave the life of her and her unborn child in Melanie's hands. "I can trust you." She said as the witches stared at her bizarrely. Melanie smiled but the sound of footsteps quickly caught her attention.

Sophie and Elijah were both at the gate. Sophie opened the squeaky thing and walked in. Elijah stopped in front of the gate because he couldn't enter without permission. Sophie turned to look at him.

"This is sacred ground, which means vampires have to be invited in. But, since I'm desperate... Come on in."

Elijah entered as Melanie watched them both curiously.

"We can talk freely here."

"Then I suggest you start talking. What did your sister want with Niklaus?"

Melanie almost laughed at the mention of Nik. It was so mind boggling how crazy he was yet Elijah fought very hard for him. She couldn't tell if he was simply loyal or just stupid.

"Isn't it obvious? We have a vampire problem, and we need help. Marcel has an army backing him. The witches have been trying to fight back. We haven't had much luck, until my sister Jane-Anne summoned a girl to help us. That girl found a werewolf passing through the quarter from a small town in Virginia. She had a special connection to your brother."

Elijah looked confused. "Summoned what girl? And what kind of connection?"

Melanie headed up mentally preparing herself for her big reveal as Sophie sent her a mental cue. "A very very important girl. I'm aware you guys had a few run ins back in the day. I call her Melanie but maybe your more familiar with the name: Phoenix. As for the werewolf... apparently, they spent some time together. One thing led to another and now this special werewolf girl – she's pregnant. And the father of the child she's carrying is your brother Klaus."

Elijah was dumbfounded by all the information Sophie was throwing at him all at once. His thoughts raced from a pregnant girl to the possibility that Melanie was truly there.

"That's impossible."

"Nothing is impossible, especially not when it comes to your brother." Ain't that the truth. Melanie thought sourly. "Think about it – they call him the hybrid, right? Bring her out! Melanie come out!"

Melanie causally stepped out of the shadows as the witches come with Hayley in tow. They stood in a circle around her as she looks annoyed and confused at Elijah.

"Melanie?!" Elijah questions as she simply smirks.

"Who the hell are you?" Hayley questions him in return. Elijah glances back an forth between Melanie and Hayley quickly before looking at Sophie again.

"Give us a moment, please." He says referring to both girls and himself. He then locks eyes with Melanie. "We need to talk."
Melanie smirked as his mental questions came flying at her a mile a minute.

"In due time, Elijah. In due time."
