Prologue

"911 Dispatcher, what is your emergency?"

" Hello?,Uh, yes, I want to report a clown standing next to the main entrance of the University."

"Did you say a clown?, Ma'am."

"Yes, a clown. He is standing by the main entrance."

"What is the clown doing? Is he bothering people? Being disruptive? What if anything is he doing?"

"No, he is not doing any of those things. He is just standing there. Not moving, not talking."

"I am sorry Ma'am. There is not much I can do, except to connect you with the Police Department or Campus Security. I can't exactly call what he is doing an emergency. Because, he is not really doing anything illegal."

"Well, it is creepy the way he is just standing there staring at people. With that strange looking clown makeup he has on."

"Ok then Ma'am, let me connect you with Campus Security."

Joann turned to the operators on both sides of her, "I just had another call for a clown sighting. And once again, just like all the others, the clown is just standing around, not saying or doing anything. What in the world is going on?" she commented, as she filled out her call log.

"Campus Security, Officer Burns, how can I help you?"

"I want to report a clown standing by the main entrance to the University."

"Ok, is he doing anything to cause you or anybody else alarm?"

"He is just standing there looking around at people passing by."

"Ok. Ma'am are you on foot?"

"Yes, I am. I am on the way back to my dorm. I rode the bus over here from the north campus. I am going to try and get a picture or a video of him."

"No Ma'am, listen to me, that is not a good idea. I need you to back away from the clown and leave the area. You need to go back to the bus stop. There should be other people waiting for the next bus."

"Oh My God!! He just turned his face in my direction. I am going to get his picture. Oh My God, now he is coming towards me.......

"Hello? Hello, Ma'am? Is anyone there? Hello, Ma'am?"
