The morning bell rang, warning students still lingering in the hallways to get to class. F was on his way to his first period class, rushing, knowing he was late. His heart was pounding; it always beats faster around this time. He walks into Spanish, immediately locking eyes with CI
"Good morning CI." F began. This time, he vowed, this time I will convince CI to go with me to C's party or to the movies this weekend
"Hey F." Replied CI
"So you know the new movie that came out in the theaters, I think it was called La La Land. Well I was gonna go see it, but its boring to go by yourself. Want to tag along?" F questioned. He tried not to stare at CI to read his facial expression, but his eyes kept wandering to CI's face, his dark hair , his mysterious eyes, his inviting mou-
"Yeah i think i can go," started CI. F's face immediately lit up, "but can i bring V also?" CI continued. F's face fell.
"I mean, I guess."
"You sure its ok? I know you and V are friends so I though the 'more the merrier.' It's cool if you don't want me to invite him"
"No, no its fine. I like V." And I know you do too, F thought. He expected this to happen, but he still felt a pain in his chest when reality caught up to his thoughts. F shrugged it off; a time with CI is still a time to get closer to him.
"Ok cool. Text me the times and where it is." CI said.
"Yeah ok. Ill let V know the plan." F told him. Señora Bali entered and the class quieted down
As F was making his way to his fourth period class, he noticed a familiar physique walking through the crowds: V. He didn't want to NOT be friends with v, but it was so hard. F knew how CI and V got along, most of DRB did, except V. V had no clue about how CI felt for him, he was too preoccupied with school and his home life for it. In his sadness, F decided he would do something about it.
"Hey V! Wait up." F called after. V slowed down and waited untilF fell in step with him. "So has CI told you about this weekend yet?"
"Yeah, he texted me a few minutes ago. I think I should be able to go, I just need a time and place."
With a little hesitation, but courage nonetheless, F told him "We should be meeting at the Laurel AMC theatre at around 1. Cool with that?"
"Yeah sounds great. Ill catch up with you later." V waved to F and disappeared into the sea of kids. F heard the ring of his phone and pulled it out of his pocket, the screen glowing from a new message:
Ci- So have you decided what time and place yet
F- yep
Ci-.... so you gonna tell me
F took a deep breath then typed,
F- Waugh Chapel, 3 o'clock
