FLASHBACK

10 YEARS OLD

"I don't want to go." I whined as my mom and my 16 year old brothers Harry and Justin drove me to my doctors appointment. They had there restricted licenses, and mom didn't like them to use them too much. Justin was currently driving, and Harry was in the back with me. "I don't need to go! I'm fine!" I urged. I was scheduled to start school soon, my medication was working great, I hadn't been sad in nearly forever, and I was starting to believe that what my dad did to me was a freak accident. "Come on Kinli, I promise this will be the last time. If you do well than your free." I groaned at my moms comment - I AM well.

When we got there we all got out of the car, and walked into my the thereapists building. My mom was dropping me off and them she was going to get on a flight to Orlando to take the twins to see one of their friends' concerts. They were coming back tomorrow, and I was staying home with my 21 year old brother Channing, my 19 year old brother Taylor, and my 18 year old brother Zac.

"The boys will come get you in 2 hours, at 6:00, ok?" I nodded and we walked in and mom checked me in. "We have to catch that flight, will you be ok waiting alone?" Mom asked me, and I nodded yes and gave her a hug. "Bye Kin, see you tomorrow." Justin said, hugging me, and I hugged Harry as he said "Love you Kin." I replied "Love you too!" And then they left.

Once I was called into the office with a therapist, I went into her office and sat down at the chair in front of her desk. She asked me all these stupid questions for a good hour and a half, and I gave extremely vague, stupid answers back.

"Kinli, please answer the question." The therapist said, obviously aggravated. "I don't need to be here!" I said to her, and we went back and forth a few times until I just shut my mouth and refused to speak. She got frustrated very quickly and stood up, walking around the desk, slapping me in the face in one swift motion.

I sat, shocked, as she screamed "YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING UGLY SELFISH LITTLE BITCH! JUST ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTIONS, IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!" Then she kicked me, hard, on my side with that black boot she was wearing and grabbed my neck and squeezed, trying to choke me.

I tried to pry her hands off of my neck as the manager of the therapy offices ran in and pulled her off of me, my eyes quickly filling with tears. A few other office men ran in, one of them calling 911. Another one pulled the therapist came into another room, and one of them tried to approach me. As he got closer I flinched and just sobbed even harder, the pain on my side in my throat and on my face rising.

"Someone call her family!" I heard him yell, and I scooted as far back in the seat away from him as I could, sobbing. For the next 10 minutes nobody tried to approach me, until the police got there and tried to approach me. I began to cry even more, and I flinched and backed farther away.

"Her brother is almost here." I heard the manager tell the police man, and I could hear the cries of my psycho therapist from somewhere else in the building. I was still crying when a figure approached me. I looked upward slightly and felt the person touch me, and I jerked to the other side of the seat and started sobbing even harder.

"Kinli, it's just me. It's Zac, calm down." He said, touching my shoulder as he kneeled down to look at me. I saw it was my Zac, and I started crying harder at his worried expression.

He wrapped me in his arms and picked me up, and at first I was tense, but then I relaxed and wrapped my arms around his neck, sobbing.

"Shh.. It's ok....you're fine now, I promise...it's ok now..." He told me, and he started walking me to the front of the building. I heard my brother Channing yelling, and through my hair I could just barely make out the image of him yelling at the manager and the therapist, and a few policemen. I couldn't here what he was saying over my own sobs, and Zac carried me out to the car.
