I have searched
And I have sought
For my prince.
Along the way,
You went with me.
We were close
As two could be
I told you my
Fears of never
Finding my prince.
You listened and you stayed.
Alas! I thought I
Found my prince.
I ran away with him
And left you behind.
But soon after I
Discovered it was
Never a prince but
A princess I longed for.
The princess I left behind.
I left in the dead
Of night, seeking for you.
And soon found you had
A princess of your own.
