The beginning of high school, freshman year, and look, I know you’re probably all thinking about the song fifteen by Taylor Swift. To be completely honest, in the most cliché way possible, this story is almost exactly like that.

But since nothing happens in the first week or so of school let’s just skip ahead, shall we?

Its mid-October in fifth period social studies, (core classes, cause I’m stupid) a new guy walks into the classroom, everybody stares. Now let’s just say for arguments sake, I’m not pretty, in fact I’m the second fattest girl in that class, but really it isn’t that bad, most of the girls in that class are underweight and flat anyways.

Back to the new kid, his light dull brown hair covering his forehead and his bright blue eyes stuck out a mile. Imagine Jamaica, the water, that’s exactly what his eyes looked like. He’s tall and kind of lanky, not super buff but definitely not that scrawny.

Isn’t it always the way, when your teacher sits the new hot guy next to you and everybody in the class has a disliking towards you.  Boy, this was going to be a weird year.

“Can I borrow a pencil” I heard in a soft boyish yet assertive tone. I turned to my right only to see him staring intently in my eyes.

“Sure….” I said pulling out a pencil from my bag talking somewhat more sarcastically that I probly should have.

“By the way, my names Mathew, one T” he said.

“I’m Serena, no I” I responded jokingly.

He smiled, his teeth were snow white compared to his lightly tanned skin, I guess that’s what we get for living in such a small town right next to Portland Oregon. Hardly any sun, but a decent amount of snow.

We went the rest of the class period without talking, but occasionally I caught him catching glances at me.

When the bell rang for us to go to our last class, I got up and he grabbed my bag. “If you ever want your bag back, damn this is heavy” he huffed. “You will give me your phone number”

How in the hell was I supposed to respond to that!? Apparently I knew exactly what to do, and that exactly, landed both of us in the principal’s office. Apparently kneeing a new student in the crotch is no way of a greeting….

But then again, who knew?

A/N: i hope you guys enjoyed the first real chapter, im going to keep up the writing dont worry, and ill try to keep the author notes on the down low, so that they dont take up the entire story like i know some of them do.

Anyways, sleep tight my lovelys, and dont forget to eat your heart out, there is sombody out there for everyone, you just havnt found them yet. or maybe you have and you just dont know.
