When I look out at the world
I feel the monster within me growl
Twisting in my soul
Slowly eating away my heart
But I keep walking
Away from the darkness
Away from the scars
Away from my misery
And my deepest darkest nightmares
Empty words and hateful stares
Fill me to the brim with despair
Broken glass litters my path
But I shall walk onwards
Towards another day
Another hope
Another dream
And true eternal happiness
