Chapter 10: Wedding Day

A Few Days Later

The maids do finishing touches to my beautiful wedding dress, today is the day Peeta and I are getting married today and everyone from my village has been invited to see it and as we do get married we'll be announced as the new queen and king of Treston, even though I've only ever known Peeta for a little while I'm still nervous and I'm still completely in love with him, he saved my life, if he hadn't kissed me and shown the love I've always wanted then I would've been dead but now I am to marry him and soon have children

"Let me see the bride!" I turn around to see Elaine and she gasps with tears in her eyes

"Katniss... my lord your the most beautiful bride, you look just like your mother did on their wedding day" she says as tears fall and she gets out her handkerchief to wipe them away

"What was my mother like?" I ask

"She was very beautiful, like you. You see people think you look like your father but I think you look identical to your mother, your mother loved helping people her and your father were great rulers and I'm sure you and Peeta will too" she admits and I give a small smile

"I wish my parents were still alive" I sadly admit frowning

"Hey now! This is your wedding day! I will see no frowns! Only smiles!" She cheerfully states and I smile as I remember my fathers last words to me 'don't grieve over me, be the happy girl I know you are, you're going to marry one day and know that my spirit will be there and guide you along, I love you my little princess' and that's when he had died, I had to get carried out screaming and crying that day as I tried getting out from the guards grasp to run to my fathers dead body but I was a small six year old and was trapped in my room to grieve, so I show no sadness and know my father is here in spirit

"Now. Let's get you married" she says putting my veil in front of my face

"I do" I finish as I slide Peeta's ring on his finger

"Prince Peeta, you may now kiss your bride" Peeta lifts my veil and I feel my heart beating very fast as we both lean in and our lips connect sealing our marriage, as we brake away we turn and sign the papers proving our marriage and that we both agree on becoming King and Queen and the pastor announces it officially and Peeta and I walk down the isle everyone cheering and we all go into the ballroom to eat and celebrate.

It is now night and Peeta is getting his horse ready, we are spending a week in a little cottage in the woods that was built for Peeta and I's honeymoon, Peeta insisted on it getting built and so I agreed and now that is where we will be heading

"I'm so proud of you! Married and so mature" Elaine smiles and I do too

"Thank you Elaine. Be here when we return" I say

"I wouldn't miss it and hopefully it's not too long till we have little feet running around" she giggles as my face goes red

"Elaine... I'm too young" I state

"Oh come on! When I had my Lucy I was sixteen that's how I got this job" she replies and I roll my eyes and hug her

"Now be safe out there and enjoy your honeymoon" she says and I nod smiling, I then bob down to where my dawarf friends are

"I can't thank you all enough for how well you all treated me, how you've trained me. You're all welcome to visit in the castle" I say and they all smile, I'm going to miss Cinna, Bonnie, Twill, Johanna, Buttercup, Ceaser and Haymich, they've all been the best friends I could ever have

"It was our pleasure my queen" Cinna says and I smile standing up right and Peeta walks up to me

"Are you ready?" He asks and I nod, he helps me onto his horse and he hopes on himself, everyone then all yells a goodbye and then Peeta rides his horse off into the forest.

It wasn't long till we reach the cottage and I smile at it, it's beautiful, I love it. Peeta helps me down as I look around, a wooden bench with seats, a campfire area

"Peeta, it's beautiful. I can't believe I'm married" I smile and he hugs me from behind his chin on my shoulder and he rocks us side to side

"Come my beautiful wife. It's night and I don't want you to be staying out any longer" he says taking Finnick to a small shelter which must've been built for horses and he comes back shortly and takes my hand, leading me inside, the fire is already crackling as it is nearly the end of October and is already starting to get quite cold

"We're is our room?" I ask and he takes me down the hallway upstairs to the last door on the left which has a big bed and draws and a wardrobe

"Peeta it's beautiful, I love it" I smile and he chuckles

"I hoped you liked it" he smiles and I walk over to him and I'm going to attempt to do something that makes me nervous beyond nervous actually, I'm scared at what he'll think

"Can you unzip me?" I ask and I see him gulp

"Uh um sure" he unzips my dress and it leaves me with my undergarments underneath

"Do you want some privacy orrrrr..." he trails off as I take off my shows and guide him more into the room after shutting the door and I start unbuttoning his shirt

"Katniss are you sure you even want to do thi---" but I cut him of by kissing him and he gets the message and takes off his shoes and socks and his pants leaving him in just his undergarments and I lay on the bed and he climbs over me and continue, now if I'm honest with you it did hurt at first and was quite uncomfortable but then about a few seconds later I'm overwashed with pleasure and I just couldn't help myself from screaming out from pleasure and saying Peeta's name, it was over pretty quick but by then we we're both exhausted and we just went to sleep but I can't lie that we done it again in the morning and through the night.

The cottage
