I was in the forest. I don't know why I was there, nor do I know how I got there. The only thing I knew, was that I needed to go home. I stood up and looked around. I called out for someone, but the only voice I heard was my own. I started walking around, hoping I would find some help. I found nothing. I seen a light, not a bright light, just something that looked like... A town! I ran to the light and as soon as I did, I ran into the first house I seen, and locked it behind me, just to realise... It was my house.. everything was in place, nothing felt wrong to me. Then I heard it. A laugh that made my hair stand on edge.
I looked around, and then looked behind me. Where the door should be, there was a hallway in it's place. The lights twitched and glitched as I walked down this Hall of Forgotten Memories. Broken and cracked pictures of families hang effortlessly on the aged wall. Paint chips and broken glass lay like a puzzle on the ground under my feet. At the end of the hall was a little girl, holding a teddy bear.
I called out to her, but got no reply. She laughed, then disappeared. I looked behind me, wanting to go back into my living room and lay on my couch and fall asleep, waking up to my dad cooking breakfast. But there was nothing behind me but a wall. Painted on the wall was the words 'play with me'. I turned around, filled with rage as I screamed.
"THIS IS NOT A GAME!" I instantly regretted this action. In front of me was the girl, holding up a wooden box.
"Play with me?" She asked in a voice that made my stomach turn. I sighed and carefully took the box. The girl grabbed the handle with two fingers, and began to turn the crank. The melody of Pop goes the weasel played in a eerie way until she stops and takes a step back. There were four more words left of the song. Did she want me to finish the tune? I slowly grabbed the crank and turned it, saying the last words;
"Pop. Goes. The. Weasel..." I looked at her as she laughed insanely. The hall, growing and changing until I was now standing in a carnival tent. I went to look at the girl, but in her place was a clown. Not one that you would be happy to see. His colors were monochrome. He smiled as if he just won the world. I looked up at him and his large grey eyes became locked with mine. He kissed my cheek and whispered.
"Goodnight kiddo." His voice was calm and soothing, but also a little disturbing as he whispered into my ear. I felt a sharp pain in my heart as I glanced at him again. It wasn't him. It was a man with wide blue eyes and a smile forever bound to his eerie face. He kicked me into the ground and stomped on my stomach. I heard something snap, followed by a wave of pain. He began to stab his blade into me until my organs meet the open air. I looked up at this killer one more time and said I was sorry. I don't know why, but it felt like I needed to apologise. He looked at me for a moment, and whispered.
"You should be. Now, go to sleep." It all went black. Then I woke up.
It was five in the morning on a school day. I sighed and got out of bed. As soon as the cold air hit my skin I grabbed a blanket off my bed and started to look for something to wear to school. No, I am not naked. I am in a black baggy shirt and light blue shorts, covered in stars. My name is Angel. I am 15 years old, with red hair, light blue eyes, I have a slight tan, and I have a tattoo if a rose at the start of my wrist. I got dressed in a pair of faded black geans, a black sleeveless batman shirt, and my usual blue hoodie. I was brushing my teeth in my bathroom and I heard a knock at my door before I ran to it  "Come in!" I said as I unlocked the door for my friend, Rose. Rose is a creative goofball who has short and curly brown hair, light brown skin, and has little spots across her shoulders, chest, arms, and back. She smiled at me, fixing her hair.
"Good morning." She said cheerfully as I sighed.
"Morning." I threw on my bookbag and looked at the time.
"Welp. We are soo late." It was now 7:28
"Yep!" She basically dragged me out the door and we walked to school. When we got there, Tink was waiting for us. She smiled at us and we went into the school.
