"When darkness falls in the world of Remnant, and the people feel abandoned and hopeless, the Grimm begin to feed off of their negative energy. They are attracted to the darkness of people's hearts, and repelled by the hope that few hearts contain. The Hunters and Huntresses will be their to slay the Grimm, but until the point where humanity stops containing negative emotions, the Grimm will continue to come. So I say, let them continue to come, I am ready to take them on."

Another gloomy day in the forests outside of Vale, a place you should never be unless you are prepared to face any threat that comes your way. These forests are infested the creatures of Grimm, monsters that prey off of negative feelings. These woods, so full of shadows and unknown places also makes for the perfect training grounds for any Huntress in training.

This is near the small farming village of Treijen, located on the outskirts of the main kingdom in a small secluded place. Many in this village are not capable of generating an Aura, as most are just small farmers who condemn the ways of the Hunters and Huntresses. All except a young girl of fifteen, her name is Hazel Aur, the only person in town with an aura and a very unique semblance. Viewed as an outcast, her only friends growing up were the Grimm. They came to her sensing her powerful negative energy, but she was not afraid, she could communicate with some of these Grimm, creatures called the Beowulf. They protected her from those Grimm who tried to do her harm, and they trained her to hone her aura, a powerful essence that revitalizes all people, so that one day she may fulfill her destiny and become a legendary Huntress.

"Father," I said, "When will you take me into the city so I may finish training to become a Huntress?"

"Ahhh, young lady, when I feel the time is right I will let you go, but until then, go and train some more out in the fields. I have some business to attend to."

As if on cue, there was a knocking on the door and I went to go let whoever it was inside. They were probably here to visit father.

"Sweetheart, let me get the door," Father said standing up "How about you go out the back and train some more."

"Is there something wrong?" I asked puzzling, "Why can't I let in your friends? You're still weak from the harvest season, you need to rest your back."

"No dear, it's quite alright, I can handle myself. Just go outside and leave me to deal with the situation."

After thinking on the matter, I decided that it would just be a waste of my energy to continue fighting. I grabbed my katana, the 'Heart Seeker' as I called it, and left through the back door. It took a small walk to reach the Jasmine Forest, my secluded training grounds, and began my hunt for the Grimm. Little did I know, that this walk was going to change my life forever.

Beowulf, come to me, I require your assistance. I started thinking. You see, when I think about Beowulf's, they will come to help me. Well, here they come now, attracted to me by my thoughts. These creatures are the only true friends that I have, no one in the village accepts me and my dad. I'm not sure why, maybe because I can generate an aura, or maybe the fact that Grimm like me?

As if sensing My inner turmoil, another Grimm came towards me, a large Ursa. I stand ready for battle, side by side with two Beowulf's. Reading my thoughts they both split to the sides and I charged at the Ursa straight down the middle of the forest path. It tried to swing at me, but I was too fast and jumped above its mighty claws and slashed at its hands with my katana, cutting clean through the arm. At the same time, the Beowulf's lunged from the forest and dug their claws into the Ursa's ribs. Seeing the open opportunity to slay the beast, I pushed the button on the bottom of my katana, splitting it in two. I lunged, swords ready and leaped onto its back, slicing down its spine as I went along.
