It was an ordinary morning, the sound of alarm clocks going off, mothers hurriedly preparing breakfast for their family, and cars honking away at the morning traffic. Celeste opened her green eyes as she heard her phone's alarm go off. 'Today is the day' she thought. Today she's starting her first day at McKinley high. After her father left their family, she and her mom moved to Lima in order to start fresh. She is an only child, and her mom has been working late at night to provide their needs.

"Cel, dear you need to get up or you'll be late for the bus!" Her mother called making her call a weak 'okay'. She rubbed her eyes and got out of bed, wandering to the shower. Then she brushed her teeth. Afterwards, she dressed in a plain blue t-shirt and threw a white cardigan on top. She slipped on her ripped jeans and put on her white converse. As she brushed her tangled brown hair, she pinned her bangs to the side and put on a little of mascara and lip gloss. She was not that into makeup. Quickly, she slung her backpack over her shoulder and went to the kitchen while humming to a popular tune. She takes a seat and starts eating her favorite breakfast dish: waffles.

"Ready to ace today?" Her mother asks and Celeste nods determined. "Well, you have five minutes to get to the bus stop, hurry on now." She says making her eyes widen and quickly say goodbye before rushing outside. She starts running across the street when suddenly she hears a honk and a pair of arms pull her away from a speeding car. She gasps before the person speaks.

"Are you okay? Honestly, you need to be more careful." Turning around, her eyes meet with green ones. He's wearing a black and red blazer with his brown hair in a quiff. "So, are you gonna thank me?" He says with a huff of annoyance. She gulps before nodding. "Um thanks I-I'm sorry." His eyes soften before smiling, "I was just kidding, no problem. Sebastian Smythe, and you are?" He says putting his hand out. "Celeste Newman." She says and shakes his hand before realizing once again that she's running late.

"I'm late, I'm running late! See you around!" She says before turning around and running in the direction of the bus stop, leaving a dumbfounded and annoyed Sebastian. Fortunately, she made it to the bus stop just in time. Once she got in, all her confidence soon faded away. Nasty looks were shot at her, making her hide behind her binder as she blindly sat on an empty seat.

"You're new to McKinley right? I'm Rachel Berry." The girl next to her says. "I'm Celeste Newman, yes I'm new here."

"Well that explains everyone's sour faces, well, more sour than usual." She says making Celeste giggle. "Is everyone here like that?" She asks with a hint of worry. Rachel shakes her head and waves a hand at her, "of course not, some people are actually really nice."

"Oh shut up Berry, I don't know what you're talking about to this noob, but we don't need her to become your minion." Says a girl behind them. Rachel gasps, feeling offended, before replying, "I'm not making her my minion! I just want to help her Santana!"
