Chapter One
Beep, Beep,Beep.
What the hell is that noise, I swear it is way to early and I'm way to comfortable to be up. I slam my hand down on the clock smashing it into pieces.
I start dragging my body slowly and painfully out of bed and into the bathroom, then I carry out me morning ritual, once out of the bathroom I get changed and glance towards my clock which is sitting on my bedside cabinet smashed into teeny tiny little pieces.
I make my way downstairs where I'm now staring into the kitchen cabinets trying to figure out what I'm going to make for breakfast, finally deciding that I couldn't stare into the cupboard all day long I go about my morning. Walking into the room opposite mine and start work my way down the corridor
"Jared get your ass up we got school today get moving."
"Meg come on wake up first day of school today." And finally I walk into the twins room
"Hey Champ, Princess wakey wakey time to get up and dressed."
As I wait for them to get ready I think about the last time I saw our parents.
Me and the kids are waiting in the hallway waiting for the folks to come downstairs me in the front holding the twins Ryan and Emily, with Jared and Meg holding a small present each one for Mom and the other for Dad. Watching our parents walk down the stairs Dad looking pressed and proper in his business suit. Mom looking absolutely stunning in her deep red cocktail dress.
"Happy 30th anniversary" We shout when they get down to the bottom of the stairs. the twuins are jumping and squirming in my hands trying to get down. Once on the floor they run to the folks and drag them over to Jared and Meg excited to see them open there presents.
"You didn't have to get us anything Kids." Mom gushed while grabbing the present and ripping open the wrapping like a little kid. Dads nodding in agreement while carefully unwrapping the paper bit by bit.
Upon seeing the rings engraved with the others name, Mom starts crying tears of joy and hugging us all.
"Thank you kids. I don't know what to say there beautiful" Dad says with tears in his eyes and a proud smile on his face.
"Well come on Honey, we best be off otherwise we'll miss our reservation, Bye Kids. Mac make sure everyone gets to bed on time. We'll be home late OK don't wait up."
Its 9:00pm Me and Jared are downstairs playing COD while the kids are settled and in bed. There was knock on the door.
"Who the fuck is that, who the hell would be knocking on the door this late at night?"
" Mind you language Jared." I shout as I walk to the door.
"Hello, how can I help you?" I ask the two police officers that are currently at the door looking very somber.
"Good Evening, I'm DC Williams and this is my partner DI Nottingham. Is Mackenzie Wolf in?" I start getting nervous upon hearing this.
"Yes that's me, what can I do for you?" The two policemen exchange looks and DI Nottingham starts speaking.
"Miss Wolf, Im sorry to inform you but there was an animal attack in Hazelmore Park. Unfortunately both of your parents recieved extensive damage. EMTs upon arriving at the scene where unable to revive them, If there is anything we can do please let us know. I'm very sorry for your loss." I nod my head frozen on the spot watching the policemen walk back down the path and into their car.
BANG!
The noise brings me back to the kitchen and I whip my head around to see what made the noise. I see my siblings all drerssed and ready for school.
"Ok. Let go, We gots to get breakfast and then get to school. Come on, lets load up."
