Cassian followed General Draven down the private elevator which lead to the second floor, their argument still fresh in his mind. He had urged his superior to bring him with to see this women, at first he declined, yet the captain had persuasively convinced the general to do so.
The ride was quick, one step in the elevator, wait about 30 seconds, and one step out.
Cassian grunted as he took a step out, recalling a nurse had told him he would be released from these Sith crutches sometime soon. Attempting to stand tall as they waited for the break out Cassian couldn't help but feel uneasy about the whole situation. He had hoped Jyn was okay, yet he told himself he shouldn't think that because first of all, Jyn knew how to take care of herself.
Feeling uncomfortable in his own skin he put on a tough look once the sound of shuffling feet was heard along with a bang, which was followed with fist to skin. Cassian looked at the General who impatiently tapped his feet. "I don't have all day." He grumbled unpleasantly as the two watched the old time elevator come up.
The room fell silent when the metal doors opened, revealing two bulky men wearing their triangular cone helmets and a struggling figure in their clutches. They walked out, sleek uniforms on and dragged their prisoner.
Cassian felt a sudden wind hit him, unaware that there was no actual air systems in the temple. The short brunett-
"Jyn!" Cassian gasped as he limped over to the slumped figure. Jyn looked up right at the mention of her name and broke out of the rebel guard's grip to their surprise quickly when they thought she had stopped fighting. She ran to him, her sharp emerald eyes almost tearing up as she embraced him.
Out of the corner of Cassian's eye he could see the guards take a step towards them, yet to his guess the general shook his head. The captain could feel Jyn clutch to him as if he was her life support. "I thought you were gone!" The rebel whispered fiercely, yet she couldn't mask the emotions as her voice cracked.
I thought you were gone? What?
"What?" Cassian asked, his thoughts fogging his head as he was completely lost. Jyn looked up at his face from where she was tucked into his chest, her brilliant forest green eyes narrowed and glazed. "They told me, that you had been rushed into the emergency room due to your arm wound, " she stopped, pointing at his left bicep, and he unconsciously moved it. "they said you lost too much blood, and told me I couldn't see you because it was apart of the rules, so I made my own rule and decided to see you." Jyn said with a shrug, her body seemed to relax in his grip as if they where in their own world, unaware of the military men.
"But, they used force and dragged me away, but I fought my way through the pitiful crowd until I felt a pinch, and that's all I remember." Jyn said, spitting out pitiful, as if it was poison.
The captain instantly let go of the embrace and turned to face Draven, who looked at them impatiently. "Your social workers told her I was practically dead?" He demanded, his Outer Rim accent deepening with fury.
The general nodded slightly, replying in a slim tone. "A lie to keep her from getting into other business where she shouldn't be snooping around in."
Cassian furrowed his brows and turned to Jyn, who visibly was going to snap out of it. Taking a threatening step closer to the General, the guards followed in unison, eyeing the former thief.
"Snooping!" Jyn barked, her negativity legitimately radiating off of her. She narrowed her sharp emerald eyes to slits, fists clenching together. "I have a right to know the condition my companion is in, and you sir shouldn't interfere with my business."
Draven looked at her in disgust and nodded to the masculinely bulky guards. "Bring the girl to sector B6, room 221, and the captain, return him to his normal room."
Jyn finally did snap once the guards put their hands on her. Taking the first rebel's arm over her head, she twisted it and leaped down bringing it with. She slid her foot out, kicking at the leg and tripping the guard who fell back in surprise but quickly got up.
Jen's dangerous visionaries where trained on the General as she leaped back up to a standing position and was about to launch at him until her two adversaries ran to her. The former thief heard their steps on the hard, marble flooring and turned around. She then slid into the space between them, jumped on the first guards back, her legs soon around his neck and leaned back, taking him down with her weight in a slam.
As she recovered quickly her physically unharmed foe forcefully grabbed her by the arm. Cassian widened his eyes as he admired Jyn, who determinedly took them head on. Yet a heart beat later he felt utterly stupid for letting her take them on alone.
Taking a step to the conflict infront of him the General held out a arm, his ghastly stare on him. "Remember where your loyalties lie, my friend." He spoke with a hushed tone, which wasn't really necessary.
"Enough!" The general spoke again, his pale face reddening with frustration. "I have a schedule! Just bring them to sector A, give them a room, and lock 'em up. Before you leave, I would like to share a word with Andor ." The general grumbled out orders, rubbing his temples. "I have a meeting soon," then he pointed at Cassian "and you where supposed to come, that's what I was going to talk to you about.."
lies. The captain thought bitterly as he stomped over to Jyn, almost throwing himself infront of her, so it was him between the guards and her. He could already hear his companion grumble unpleasantly.
He lifted his chin up at the first monumental guard, who was several inches taller. The other guard, who was a bit shorter pointed his blaster at them and pointed at the direction of the rusted transported. Cassian observed the smaller guard for a moment, his structure was quite familiar, and for some reason he thought he might met him in his early days at the alliance when he never questioned orders, and whatever he did it was for the sake of rebellion, but those days were over.
He shook his head, attempting to get rid of the memories of killing the innocents to frame others. The captain looked at Jyn, who's eyes where clearly blazing like the firing pits of the Sith world took a step inside, her fists still clenched.
Taken back in surprise, Cassian wondered why she didn't argue, or try to escape from them. He sighed deeply and turned to the aging man, who elegantly walked up to the captain, a firm look was placed on his face. "You don't know what your messing with anymore, Cassian Andor. " the general rasped to him, his eyes like sparking flints.
Cassian took one last look at his superior before turning away to follow the guards in the crammed space, where Jyn narrowed her stunning green eyes at him, her usual greeting. The captain rolled his eyes and limped inside, his breath hitching a bit, knowing from previous experiences that he suffered from claustrophobia.
The unenjoyable ride ended quicker then expected as the rebellion pawns took them to sector A, which was hidden amongst the monstrously monumental and ancient Massassi race trees.
