Another Chance

"Finally."

"Some peace and quiet." He thought thankfully.

All the doubts, feelings and questions escaped from his mind as he felt that he had answered his final question

"How does it feel to die?"

"Rather relaxing" he thought as he hurtled toward what he thought would be final rest.

Wrong.

Thiago Mola was a reticent.

No contacts, close friends, nothing.

Even in death, he had no words.

Maybe, it would be apparent if you knew the fact, that he committed suicide.

Well, now you do.

"Good riddance" Thiago thought as his brain suddenly grind to halt.

As he opened his eyes, he woke up in a cell, with white walls and a bed.

He looked down at his hands as if in doubt of his existence.

The iron bars, clean and shiny, he wondered where he was.

"Am I in hell?" He said loudly. No reply.

Suddenly, footsteps.

Quickly sitting back in his bed, he sat back and put on the appearance of slumber and shut his eyes.

"I know you are awake." The voice said noisily.

Opening his eyes, his eyes fell upon a man. "Caucasian, upper 20's" he thought as he slowly observed the man's face

Thiago, throughout his silent and lonely life, had honed some mental skills and one of these was the ability to identify a person's place of birth, traits, habits and many other characteristics.

By no,  you would have started to think deeply about Thiago's state of mind throughout his life.

"Where do you think you are?" the man asked him curiously, opening a small bag and searching around inside it with his hand.

"Hell?" Thiago replied.

Suddenly, the man started laughing loudly, grabbing a small notebook out of his bag.

"No, no, no......you haven't done nearly enough to go there!" he said.

Shuffling through the pages of his notebook, the man held open a certain page, with Thiago's name and picture.

However, there was something on his face in the photo. Something red, liquid and dripping off.

"Whoa. Seems like you went through quite a bit there, boy. What happened to you?" the man asked him while skimming through the contents of the page.

"Accident" Thiago lied. "Better not tell him. Don't know what he will do" he thought.

"Well, it all seems OK" the man said reassuringly and shut the book and put it back in his bag.

Thiago tensed up and got ready to run out.
