Nathan sat on his bed, legs stretched out and arms crossed over his chest with a matching pout on his face.
“Come on, Nath. It's not the end of the world.” Jay said to him, taking a seat at the foot of the bed. “He's just gonna come in and see if your nose is broken or not.”
“But I hate doctors.” Nathan whined, giving Bird sad eyes. “They're always poking me with needles and touching me with their cold hands... Don't even get me started on the stethoscope. That thing is made out of ice.” he huffed.
Max chuckled, looking up from his phone. “The things that run through your head, kid.”
“Well he's right,” Tom agreed, “That fucking thing is always freezing. Makes me jump ten feet every
time.”
“See!” Nathan exclaimed, pointing a finger to his older band mate. “I'm not the only one!”
“No one said you were,” Max shook his head, “Look Nath, would you just relax? It's his job to make you feel better, he's not gonna do anything bad to you. And if he does, I'll kick his ass.”
“My hero.” Nathan said sarcastically, batting his eyes and placing his hands over his heart.
“Oh, get a room.” Siva rolled his eyes just as there was a knock on the door. Nathan's amused expression fell from his face as Siva got up and opened the door, letting Kevin, Nano, and an unfamiliar person inside; he guessed his doctor.
“Do all of you really need to be in here? It's just his nose, boys.” Nano said to the other four members of the band, who looked highly offended, in a joking matter, of course.
“Just his nose? Do you know what a nose does for the human body, Nano?” Max said, his eyebrows raised. The young adult face palmed him, knowing what was coming.
“Boys, not now-”
“Without the human nose, we wouldn't be able to smell or taste anything, Nano. And if you ask me, that's pretty important. Could you imagine living a life with no sense of smell or taste?” Jay added on, looking very serious as he placed his hands on his hips.
“You could never smell your girlfriend's perfume or your mum's baked cookies ever again. Or enjoy your favorite meal. That would honestly suck.” Siva nodded, trying to bite back his smirk as he watched Nano's facial expression switch from between annoyed and frustrated.
“And let's not forget the most important thing; singing. Without your nose, it would basically be impossible. You'd always be off tone and out of breath.” Tom huffed, crossing his arms as he walked over to Nathan, who was still sitting on the bed. He had a giggly smile on his face, entertained by his band mates annoying the shit out of their tour manager. Tom placed a hand on his shoulder.
“So yes, we have to be in here for our little Nath. It's highly necessary that he knows he has our full support on whatever happens.” he declared.
Nano sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose. “You done?” he asked them.
“Can we stay?” Jay asked.
“Fine.”
“Then yes.” he beamed.
“I don't get paid enough to deal with this,” the aggravated man mumbled to himself, then turned to the doctor who was still standing patiently by his side, an amused smile on his face. “I'm so sorry about that. They look like adults, but mentally they're all age five.”
“Nah, I'll go for three.”
“Max..” Nano hissed through his teeth, leading to the singer throwing his hands up defensively, an innocent look on his face. He got the message.
