The bell rings signaling the end of the day. Students begin rushing, trying to meet up with friends, got to their lockers, while still catching their bus. One student though, amidst the chaos, is still, deep in thought. Remaining idle while kids rush by him, he formulates a plan that involves one student: V . Calculating the amount of time it would take V to leave his last period class, and go to his locker, CI stations himself in the position he has formed.
3,...2....1..
"Woah!" V exclaimed as he ran into CI, "Sorry CI, didn't see your there."
"Its fine V." CI started as a smile crept to his lips, "It was my fault."
"No, no its my bad. Ugh did I do that?" V asks, gesturing the books on the floor. "Let me help you."
"Thanks." They both bend over and begin gathering the scattered books and papers. As they both reach for the same book, V's hand brushes CI's. He blushes
"Well. That's all of them. I gotta go catch my bus, See you later." V goes in and does his handshake he has with CI, but his hand lingers. After realizing what he did, he stammers a bit and then walks away
"What was that all about?" S, CI's girlfriend, asks him. She gives him a quick peck on the cheek.
"Nothing.V just...ran into me ." He absentmindedly grabs S's waist as they walk together to the bus lot
"What's wrong? Anything on your mind?" S questions
"What?..oh nothing. I don't think I can make it tonight by the way."
"But Ccccciiiii," S whines, "you promised. This will be the third date you have bailed on. Come on, what's wrong? You can tell me."
"There's just a lot on my mind. I'll call you later." He jogs to his bus, but not before catching V in the crowd of kids. He sees him talking to J and E. CI's felt a twinge of pain in his heart, but he brushed it away. He knows he can't entertain these thought, of him and V. He knows he can't fall for him, but by now, it's too late
