Chapter Seven: Visiting

It had been a two weeks before Jax was allowed to go visit Emma, the first week she was put in solitary for fourteen days because she got into a fight, walking in to see his old lady was a strange feeling it should of been the other way around

When he heard the doors buzz he looked over his shoulder and saw Emma walk out, her head was hanging low even though she was in jail Jax still thought she looked beautiful in her orange jumpsuit

Emma came and sat across from Jax and smiled

"Looking rough" Jax commented

"I am rough, I'm in here with someone who wants me dead" Emma said

Jax closed his eyes hoping the two of them never crossed paths. After Jax filed for divorce from Tara and she went crazy she was sentenced to a year in jail.

"I'm sorry" Jax said

"She got me yesterday, almost wasn't able to visit" Emma said pulling down the neck of her shirt to reveal a white bandage

"What the hell happened?" Jax asked

"She shanked me" Emma said

"I'm calling lowen" Jax said

"Don't bother I've got a little under two weeks left if I stay out of trouble, I think I can take the heat from your ex wife until then" Emma said

"Babe" Jax said taking her hands in his

"I don't like the sound of that" Emma said pulling her hands back and placing them on her lap

Jax ran his hands over his face and rested his elbows on the table

"What is it Jax?" Emma asked

"When I was unpacking a few of your things I found a photo of a little girl" Jax said

Emma's face turned white

"You weren't supposed to find that" Emma said

"Who is she?" Jax asked

"My daughter" Emma said

"Who has her if both of her parents are locked up?" Jax asked leaning back

"Sarah died when she was three" Emma said looking away

"Babe why didn't you tell me?" Jax asked

"Because I try to forget about that part of my past" Emma said as a tear rolled down her face

"Babe what happened?" Jax asked reaching across take her hand but she pushed it away

Emma didn't want to tell him, she hadn't spoken about Sarah in over a year

"We were on our way to the store and we were t boned by a drunk driver, he hit her side and she died on impact" Emma said looking at him tears filling her eyes

"Babe I'm so sorry" Jax said

"I don't talk about her much" Emma said

"I understand babe I do" Jax said

"I didn't want you to find out like that I just had so much other shit on my mind" Emma said

"Babe I'm not mad, I just didn't know if I had a step kid out there somewhere I should be taking care of" Jax said

"Step kid huh?" Emma said raising her eyebrows

"I wanted to wait to show you this" Jax said lifting up his plaid sleeve to reveal Emma's name perfectly scripted on his forearm

"That's a big step Jax" Emma said

"Yeah it is..." Jax began but was interupped by the guard

"Visits over" he spoke yoking Emma up
