Snip.

Snip.

"Oh my god." Someone in the class exclaimed while another gasped.

It was in that reckless moment that Kendall held her clamped scissors against Wesley's neck, right under his sharp jawline. "Stop." She demanded in a low voice. "Don't test my self control."

Wesley's emerald gaze intently stared into Kendall's hazel eyes as he breathed steadily, not a sound leaving his lips. Wesley looked genuinely enraged as he held his hands up, his scissors dropping to the floor causing a clacking thud to echo through the quiet classroom.

"What is the meaning of this?" The loud voice belonging to the principal seemed to bounce off the walls. Kendall hadn't noticed a student leave the classroom to fetch the principal but she had been a little preoccupied.

Kendall looked at the scene the principal walked into and it did not look the least in her favour. The table was flipped over onto the ground and Kendall was still on top of Wesley, her weapon in the form of stationary was still tightly clamped in her right hand although she had removed the threatening position of them on Wesley's neck. Kendall immediately dropped the scissors.

Wesley's hair, although it looked bad for Kendall she couldn't help but smirk to herself internally, was an uneven mess.

A bird's nest.

A piece of shit, if you will.

And while Kendall wasn't that much better, she was still in better shape than her victim. As Kendall was about to answer the fuming principal, Wesley's hands clamped onto her, one on her back and the other on her hip. Eyes widened and a mild look of disgust strung upon her face, Kendall was pulled by Wesley, just close enough so Wesley could reach her ear.

"You thought you won, huh?" He asked her, his voice sounding incredibly husky. Kendall couldn't help but let her mind wonder how much huskier his voice would sound in the morning but stopped herself when she realised that this was Wesley Archer she was daydreaming about.

Kendall didn't have time to reply with a snarky answer when Wesley pushed her back. The exchange had been so quick that the principal didn't catch it. "Get off me!" Wesley exclaimed, lightly shoving Kendall. Of course, it had only been for show because if he genuinely wanted her off he would have pushed her in hopes of Kendall stumbling or perhaps falling off.

Kendall scowled and scrambled to her feet. Wesley also stood up and straightened his uniform as Kendall tried to tidy her hair up. "My office now. Bring your bags." The principal boomed before storming off in the direction of his shabby office.

As the pair reluctantly left the class, Kendall gave Ms Belrose an apologetic expression, "I am incredibly sorry, Ms Belrose." The baffled teacher nodded and when Kendall realised that was the only reaction she would be receiving, she quickly trailed after Wesley and the principal.

"You two risk the punishment of expulsion." Mr Sutherland said gravely. Kendall scoffed. She knew he wasn't sympathetic at all. Kendall knew that Mr Sutherland was getting sick of all the spoilt rich kids that roamed the halls of Ridgeman Prep. She often wondered why he didn't just resign or retire.

"Do you know who I am?" Kendall and Wesley both scowled at each other when the same words came out of both of their mouths. Maybe Sachi was right, Kendall thought.

"Look, both of your behaviours have been exemplary since your first day of attendance. That is, up until the past few weeks. Now, I don't know what it is, but you two need to stop all this nonsense at once. You are old enough to know better."
