"Thank you for the compliment. I can sense that you have plentiful doubts that you seek answers for." He's not going to kill me? Phew. WAIT.

"HOLY." HE READ MY MIND AGAIN.

"You really are religious, aren't you?"

"Can you, like ,read minds?" I was dumbfounded. He was freaky. I seriously doubted this man and his intentions.

"Would it be viable if I said no and yes?" He said cheekily.

"You can close your mouth now." I realised I was standing there confused with my mouth open. Like an idiot. How embarrassing.

"Sorry about that." Just then I saw Dr.B come into the room. He was staring at the man and the man glared at him, and then shoved a note into my pocket.

"Don't read it until you are alone and tell no one about our conversation." He said with seriousness in his gaze.

"But ..."

"You'll get your explanation. Just do as I say" With that he ran off.

I stood there puzzled with his words imprinted in my mind. Gather your act, Adrestia. You seem hopeless.

"Who was that, Child?" Dr. B stared towards the direction the man had left while handing over me my cup of coffee.

"I don't know." And then it struck me, I forgot to ask his name. Dammit.

"Are you alright, Adrestia? You seem to be...dazed."

" I do..." and then I snap out of my thoughts. " Ohmygod, I do. Dr.B , what just happened here?"

" I'm not sure, dear, but I think I should drop you home."

"No, it's fine. I'll manage myself." I said reassuringly. I needed some space to register what just happened.

"It's alright, I need to drop by and discuss some things with Iliana, anyways."

"Oh alright."

"Meet me at the car park."

As I was leaving, I had a sudden urge to turn around, and as I did, I saw the strange man standing under the statue of Ares, waving goodbye. I pretended not to see it and sped away.

The drive home was awfully quiet as both, Dr B and I, were under the spell of confusion. Yet, there was a difference. You see, the confusions Dr.B was facing was one of contemplation ,I am almost sure he knows something that I am unaware of while on the other hand, I am under a confusion mixed with curiosity.

Once we arrived home, I rushed to my room.

"Addy, what's wrong?" said my mom.

"Nothing, just really tired alright." I didn't sound convincing at all. I pressed myself against the door and tried to make out what they were talking about.

" Is she alright?" my mom asked.

" She'll be fine. She just...." Dammit. I couldn't hear everything properly. "But i think it finally happened." he said.

"You mean, he's......" It became muffled. My mom was definitely shocked. "Would he harm her?"

"I don't think so. After all, I'm not sure. It could've just been a stranger." They were talking about the man from the museum. And then i remembered the note.
