i went to class early, to meet with finn, but he never showed.
i pushed the thought aside as class started, half way through, i texted him.
no answer.
i began to worry, so i called gaten.
"hey, where's finn? he hasn't shown up for class,"
he sighed, "how should i know, we got in a fight last night."
"you what?"
"yeah, i brought up sarah, and he flipped."
"sarah?" i questioned
i heard him mumbled something under his breath, "yeah.. we have a lot to talk about."

"so she died and he ran away?" i asked gaten, which who had been talking to me for little over an hour
"yeah, he came back though," he paused, "four months later."
"thanks for telling me,"
"anytime, call me if you find him,"
"i will," i hung up the phone
class soon ended and i started walking towards my car, but someone stepped in front of me.
levi.
"move levi," i said coldly
"whatever, saying the one who's dating trash,"
i slapped him, "you have no right,"
he walked away, holding his cheek.
i laughed to myself as i continued to my car, as i walked i realized i had a voicemail from finn.
i opened it and held my phone to my ear.
"millie, it's me, finn, i can't escape my past and i can't prevent my future, i can't stand knowing that maybe, just maybe if i did something more, sarah would be alive, and by now, i hope gaten told you the story. you're better off without me, you're reputation is better off without me. don't come looking for me because by now, i'm already gone.
i'm sorry."
the voicemail ended and i saved it.
i called gaten and he told me to come to his room.
i got out of my car and shoved past the people who were just getting out of class.
i accidentally hit someone's books out of their hands.
she had orange hair and a lot of freckles.
"i'm sorry," i said but she just glared at me
i went to help her but she quickly denied it.
i left her alone and kept walking.
before i turned the corner i looked back to see caleb, a junior staring at me, with a digusted look on his face.
before i could knock on gaten's door, he opened it.
"come in," he said while rushing me
he shut the door behind me as he ran to his laptop.
he started tapping the keys vigorously.
"damn it!" he yelled
"what's wrong?"
"i lost,"
i gave him a confused look.
