(This chapter contains a lot of repetition from the previous chapter, but is much more organized and has some additional stuff)

After lots of procrastinating, I have finally created an OC!
The previous chapter explained a lot of stuff, so I'll just explain briefly before you see all of the details.

I would like to introduce you to my first OC, Omax!
(Bonus points if you can figure out the origin of his name)

General Details:
     - Gender; Male
     - Sexuality; Irrelevant
     - Age; seven human years

Personality:
     - Self-conscious
     - Sympathetic
     - Childish

Physical Appearance:
     General:
          - 4'11"
          - Pale white skin tone
     Cloths:
          - Kahki pants
          - Grey, patternless long-sleeved shirt
          - Light-brown hightop sneakers
     Head:
          - Black framed glassed, with very faded blue lenses
          - Dull blue eye colour
          - Round head shape
          - Head is wider than its height
          Hair:

- Pale purple-blue (Natural colour)
               - Hair flipped over left side of his face
     Arms & Legs
          - Noticeably longer than average
          - Fingers are slightly longer than average

Special Traits:
     Hair:

          - Hair is composed of several long, flesh-like gills
          - He breaths through gills only
     Spinal Cord:
          - Hollow spinal cord, allows air to glow from gills, past the brain, and to the lungs
          - As a result of being hollow, his spinal cord is much weaker than an average human
     Eyes:
          - His eyes are naturally adapted to underwater sight, causing his vision to be blurry when                  he is out of water
          - Glasses artificially allow him to have proper sight out of water

Biology:
- Alteration of spinal cord lead to an enhanced nervous system
- There is no path leading from mouth and nose to lungs
- Increased lung capacity

Powers & Abilities:
     Improved Reaction Time:
          - Increased speed of oxygenating the brain allows faster decision making and reflexes
     Regeneration:
          - Axolotl DNA grants ability to regenerate cells, limbs and organs
          - Small wounds heal very quickly
          - Limbs regenerate much slower, taking several days, weeks, or even months, depending on             the location of the detachment
          - Healing leaves scars or physical differences
     Electricity:
          - Able to utilize his body's natural energy to create small projectiles of energy. These are                     generally harmless, but can cause temporary paralysis, depending on where the projectile             hits
          - Cannot create energy out of nothing. Drains additional oxygen from air to generate                            energy

Physical weaknesses:
     - Much lower pain tolerance than average human|
     - Requires more oxygen than average human
     - Weaker spinal cord

Here's my pixel art of him:

Backstory:
(You are handed an aged journal. You inspect its exterior. You see no title. No name. No indication of anything, really. You wipe a thin layer of dust from the grey cover and open the journal. The edges of some pages are torn, you notice. Ignoring the rips and tears throughout the pages, you begin reading the fancifully written text.)

Page 1
"It is nearing the ending of summer. The experiments have been going... worse than expected, to say the least. Three failed specimens already, but the fourth seems promising. The human embryo accepted the axolotl DNA without any difficulties 3 weeks prior and has had no apparent issues since then. I am optimistic, yet nervous to continue with the experiment."

Page 2
"He has increased in size substantially since the last entry. Human features are also quite apparent now, having arms, legs and organs have begun development. His skin in quite transparent, which makes monitoring growth easier. No complications have arisen, other than what already existed. Biological manipulation is not an easy task, but it is a necessary difficulty."

Page 3
"The axolotl features have begun developing. It is quite an impressive sight, a half developed human fetus with the gills of an axolotl. As much as I would love to keep a visual record, the risk of unnecessary discovery is too high."

Page 4
"An issue I had not accounted for has arisen. The additional weight of the larger head is causing a large amount of strain on the weakened spinal cord. Earlier today, I gave it an artificial method of support. If this problem persists, the entire experiment may become null."

Page 5
"There is still hope. The growth rate of his skull has lowered significantly, allowing the spinal cord to compensate. He is the size of a newborn human child at this time. His skin is still translucent, however. This was expected, but it is still unnerving to see the humanoid organs at this stage of development."

Page 6
"I removed him from the nutrient solution today. His breathing is rather sporadic, but that is, quite frankly, better than what I anticipated. His heart rate is normal, which is, again, better than I anticipated. All that is left to do is wait and monitor his development."

(You notice a large group of pages are missing from the journal, leaving only a jagged margin in the centre, as if it had been quickly torn away. Ignoring the lack of pages, you resume reading.)

Page 31
"I have now deemed the experiment a success. His growth has decreased by a large margin. It has been several weeks since I have noticed a visible change in appearance. His appearance is similar to an average teenager. He is noticeably... different, however. Long limbs, pale skin and purple hair are... strange, to say the least."

(Another large group of pages are missing. These ones appear to be torn by a calm hand.)

Page 56
"Today is the day everything went wrong. I awoke early in the morning to the sound of alarms going off. Shattered glass covered the floor. Papers, sprawling across the tables. And worst of all, the coffee pot, on the ground in several pieces. I carefully stepped around the lab, trying my best not to step on any important papers. As I began gathering some of the papers, I noticed a strange blue liquid on the floor. The nutrient solution. I called out to Omax, asking if he caused the mess. When I got no response, I knew that something was wrong. I quickly made my way to his sleeping quarters, and much to my dismay, I was met by an empty bed. On the pillow, was a note, appearing to be hastily written.

"By the time that you're reading this, I'll already be gone. I've planned to do this for a while, but this was the night. I would've loved to say goodbye, but you wouldn't have let me leave. I, and you (I hope), know that I can't spend the rest of my life as a lab-rat. Also, you should probably know that I took a few syringes of that blue stuff. I'll probably never see you again, so... I guess this is it. I appreciate all that you've given me, so... thanks, Dr. W.
Goodbye,

- Omax"

(That's the last page of the journal)

So that's my first OC!

What do you think of him?

I've set up quite the story about him, so... would you people be interested in a full story?
