Today I received an automated e-mail from the Pokémon company, requesting for me to fill out a survey. Naturally, I didn't want to disappoint the Nintendo overlords, so I began the survey.

At approximately the half way point there was this question:

Three options; "male," "female," and the vague, and/or secretive "prefer not to answer

Three options; "male," "female," and the vague, and/or secretive "prefer not to answer." This lack of choice can alienate anyone who identifies non-binarily. I am confused as to why Nintendo would make the choice isolate this portion of it's audience regardless of how small that percentage is.

I await for the day that questions like this are not created as multiple choice answers. Eventually, a text box will be necessary.

Nintendo's arrogance to modern gender identities is disappointing, and I hope to see them correct their ways.
