CHAPTER TWO

I've had a depressing life, I won't lie, every foster home I was sent to never wanted me. There was one foster home where I thought I'd live happy there but they took me on a holiday with them to Melbourne and left me in the hotel room, so that was the end of that home. When I turned 12, I guess you could say I wasn't cute anymore, everyone wanted babies and toddlers so I slept on the streets for a while. I've gone knocking on doors asking for money, I have even stolen food from a market before. Those few years I must admit were defiantly not my finest in life. I guess you could say I've done it all, I've lived through the moments and had an understanding of what it's like to be homeless. If it wasn't for my friend Sophie I properly be dead by now. She really put me back on track and is the reason why I haven't killed myself yet. She was my best friend, mother and family. She was the only thing that brought me back from the world of pain. Now knowing this I'm going to tell you about the day I lost Sophie and how I found where I really belonged.
