"Well, it looks like everything is all packed up," I said putting my belongings in my backpack. I have been wanting to come back to Alola for a little while and I think today is the day to do so. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Kanto for what it had to offer. It's just that nothing could replace Alola. Just thinking about the warm weather and the kind people just made me want to come home even more.
However, those weren't the only reasons why I've been wanting to come home. My sole intention was to see someone who holds a special place in my heart. He helped me stand against my mother in her obsession with the Ultra Beasts and evolve Nebby into a being that even his team of pokémon would have trouble against.
Sun. That was his name. The champion of Alola. My best friend. My... role model. Without him I wouldn't have unlocked my Z Power and now I am finally coming home to see him again.
I quickly made my way to the pier of Vermillion City to get on a boat. Luckily enough for me, a boat was already set sail to Alola and there didn't appear to be many people going on the ship as well. There only seemed to be a couple of tourists and a small family of three getting on. I followed the group of people and decided to take a seat in the front deck.
As the ship started to set sail I began to admire the view of the blue ocean. Looking at it reminded me of where I came from. The Aether Paradise. It was where I was raised. Where I had once lived. It was... where my mother lost herself.
Mother. She had made a recovery thanks to a man named Bill. Bill was a genius to say the least. He had managed to extract any parts of the ultra beast that was once a part of her. Sadly, my mother could not accompany me once she had made a full recovery. She had to finish any work related to the Aether Foundation thus leaving me on my own for the rest of my journey.
After hours of seeing nothing but ocean, I was finally beginning to see land over the horizon. It was about night time and when the boat drew closer to the island I could make out where we were heading to Hau'oli City! As the boat headed towards the dock I got up out of my seat and took my backpack. When the boat had come to a stop I ran off the boat and onto the dock to get a fresh breath of Alolan air.
"I'm home," was all I said as I took in the sights of Hau'oli City.
I walked along the streets of the city and looked at all the new shops that had opened up. There wasn't much that had really changed in the city. However, there looked to be a restaurant that was not there before.
"Might not be a bad idea to go there," I said. Even though I felt as hungry as a Snorlax, I still felt the need to see my best friend.
As I was making my way out of Hau'oli City and onto route 1 a number of thoughts came across my mind. Would Sun even remember me after all of these years? Would he still see me a his friend? Or would he just look at me as another stranger? I tried to keep in touch with Sun via phone, but I soon couldn't call him as much due to the Pokémon League taking up a big part of his life.
When I had found Sun's house I noticed that the lights were still on. I walked onto the doorstep and knocked on the door .
"Hello? Anyone in there?" I asked.
No response. I waited for a good minute and eventually got tired of waiting so I tried to open the door. Surprisingly the door had been unlocked! As I entered through the doorway I saw that there weren't any signs of anybody except for the pet Meowth that laid sleeping on the floor. I began to look around the house and I had noticed a letter on the table.
