you're never as alone,
as you feel.
even if you are
the one isolated person,
lingering outside of the crowd,
a crowd so vast and so overpowering,
that you feel yourself being sucked in,
though your body stays,
firmly outside the boundaries.
there's always going to be
that one person,
from that ocean of homogeneous people,
who will break away,
and stand right next to you.
