* Sound of piano*
"I shot for the sky, I'm stuck on the ground.
So why do I try, I know I'm gonna fall down.
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
Never know why it's coming down, down, down."
*Sound of piano stops*
A young voice sings in hope that someone will hear it, they sing the same lyrics everyday hoping something will change.
* Echoes of wings flapping*
Today is that day, a shadow figure appears out of the darkness before her and she can't help but smile.
...
*knock*
" Young master, I am here with your afternoon tea." Sebastian walks in with the tray, holding the tea. He pours it, for Ciel, into a cup.
" Sebastian?" He questions.
" Yes, my lord?" Sebastian looked up as he finished pouring the tea, his looked became worrisome.
Ciel was facing a different direction to Sebastian, he was looking towards a book shelf. He then answered.
" Have you ever wondered what happened to that girl?"
Sebastian smirked, he had never seen Ciel worry about another person let alone a girl.
" Why no my lord. I never took you as a person to worry."
" It's been 10 months, Sebastian, The queen ordered us to find her body." Ciel snapped as he stood up from his chair. " Or have you forgotten about my duties?" He walked over towards the window.
"I am sorry, my lord. It's slipped my mind, It won't happen again." Sebastian bowed, hiding a smirk.
" I should hope not."
Ciel picks up his tea and takes a sip, setting it down to then pick up a newspaper. While he read it he sat down himself.
" I wonder if we can get more answers from the undertaker." He looked over to Sebastian. Sebastian nods and leaves the room quietly with a devilish smile on his face.
...
*silence*
" Why did you come here?" the young girl speaks with the smile on her face. Her voice echoing across the small room.
" I came here for you, I could not ignore your beautiful voice." The dark figure deeply spoke in return.
" Could you not?"
" No, I couldn't. It sounded so angelic but yet so sad. why is that?"
The young girl stood up and walked towards a wall then suddenly disappeared.
" So you're a lost soul." He speaks, out of curiosity as to confirm himself of his intelligence.
" Yes" her voice echoes, she appears again to only walk back to the the piano. " want me to sing something else?"
" If you'd like." he sat down on a chair with his gaze upon the young girl who started playing the piano in the darkness. Rain poured down the window behind her.
* Sound of piano playing*
...
*Sound of clock ticking*
It was silent, too silent for Ciel to notice. He started to wonder where everyone else had gone. After he finished reading, he stood up and set the newspaper down on his desk before approaching the door to investigate.
*Smash* *Screaming*
Ciel sighed deeply, holding his head with disappointment.
"That had to be Meyrin." He spoke to himself.
He finally opened the door and found Meyrin was, of course, in front of him. He looked down to find her picking up the shattered glass pieces, he sighed again before clearing his throat.
" Is everything alright." He questioned.
" Ah, y-yes Master. I was bringing you tea, I was." She panicked.
" Right, well be careful next time..." Ciel paused with a frown, he looked both directions before speaking again " Where is everyone else?"
" Oh, they're out in the garden."
"I see and what are they doing out there?" Ciel folded his arms, but brought a hand to his chin.
" Sebastian, told them to do some work. Yes he did."
" I see, well bring me some more tea. I am rather thirsty." Ciel turned and walked back into his study. Shutting the door firmly behind him.
" Yes, Sir!" Meyrin ran down the hall, carrying the pieces of broken glass in her hands.
...
*singing can be heard then stops* *sounds of crying*
" Is there something wrong, young girl?" The dark figure out of his own curiosity questioned her, his eyes shining in the dark as the moon light hit the surface.
" My mother use to sing this to me." The young girl dipped her head down, as tears formed in her eyes.
" Oh, I see. And this makes you sad?"
" Yes!" She snapped.
" Why?" He questioned again.
" Because I'll never get a chance to hear her sing it again." Tears ran down her face, the dark figure stood up and wiped away her tears.
" And that makes you mad?"
" Yes!" She firmly snapped once again.
The dark figure smiled devilishly.
* door slams*
