January 23rd-Mindy (3rd shift)
Hey guys it my first night so I just wanted to introduce myself to the front desk logbook.
I'm Mindy and I'll be the new night auditor. I heard your old auditor just up and left, hope that won't be the case with me! The hotel is a lot bigger than I am used to (Do we really have over 200 rooms?) but I'm sure I'll get the hang of this in no time!
January 23th- Abby (1st shift)
Hi Mindy, welcome aboard. Just wanted to let you know you did a great job last night and good luck. Our crazy season will hit soon so if you have any questions, just ask!
February 26th-Mindy (3rd shift)
So I smelled a weird burning smell around the front desk. I checked everywhere and couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from. (If you check the tapes you can see me sniffing around the desk like a puppy) After a few minutes, I realized it grew stronger when the doors opened. I walked outside to find sparks and smoke coming from our carport! I got all the emergency forms printed, secured the drawer, called the fire department and evacuated the hotel. Shortly after the blaze was brought under control a news crew arrived. We will be on the air tomorrow night at eleven.
P.s. The guest in 210 say we gave them pneumonia from standing in the cold and want a refund. Of course everyone got a refund last night but they are the ones that came down naked and stood outside in the rain watching the cops.
February 27th- Jill (2nd Shift)
Good job last night Mindy, thanks for reacting so quickly and making sure everyone was safe. I think I would have lost it when the couple came out naked, with their cigs. Lol
P.s. 210 was on the news naked with the blurs over their junk, Congrats on staying focused.
March 22nd-Abby (1st Shift)
Look out tonight guys, we have a team of "professional" bowlers coming in town for the tournament and they seem like a rowdy bunch.
March 22nd-Mindy (3rd Shift)
OMG who invited these people!? I got a call from room 212 saying there was a loud noise above them. I went to the third floor to check it out and a group of guys (swaying from being intoxicated) were standing at the end of the hall in a group. Just as I started to ask what they were doing, a bowling ball whizzed past me and all the guys at the other end of the hall keeled over and yelled, "Strike!"
That's right, they won their tournament and decided to bowl for people as a celebration. I tried explaining to their team manager (the drunkest one in the bunch) that we had other guests trying to sleep and I needed them to go back to their rooms and keep it down. After several minutes of talking me out of throwing them out in the middle of the night, drunk, broke and in a strange town,the guy decided to pat me on the head and said "Isn't she cute when she's mad?"
