My Leaf

The Toronto Maple leafs have had a bad couple of years. They started to rebuild their team. They had a lot of young players but they still needed that one player that player that would help them turn everything around. That one player was Auston Matthews.

The best player on the team who would soon win the Caldet Trophy had her the whole time. While she was and is his everything.

Though it all, she doesn't plan on leaving, niether does he. They will always be there for each other no matter what.

Daniella's Pov

i finished doing my hair and makeup. When I walked out of my room and i was in the middle of putting on my shoes  when i heard a honk outside.

"I know I know I'm coming James!" I said as I locked the front door and went to the car.

"Man you're slow, you know that" said JAmes my older brother as he pulled out of our grandmothers driveway 

"Oh shut up James and just drive. Plus I'm a girl I'm aloud to take long." I explained to my brother as i put my sunglasses on 

We were on our way to see the Toronto Maple Leafs play at the ACC. We finally got there after lots of traffic, which James complained about the whole time. I couldn't help but smile when we got to our seats because we were right up against the glass. I love hockey and the Toronto Maple Leafsso when I heard they draftedd Auston Matthews I knew we had a shot at doing better than we had the last couple years.

"I'm going to get some food. Do you want anything?' asked JAmes as he put his sun glasses on his head 

"Oh I don't know James."

"Oh come on there not going to know you went off diet. One time I'll get you a hot dog and a pepsi." he said with a wink before he left

the Leafs were doing there warm ups right now and I watched as they passed the puck around and shoot it. I couldn't help but smile as soon as my eyes found their way onto number 34. Auston Matthews, the player everyone was hoping would help the Leafs back to thier place in the league. My cold fingers gripped onto the edge of my jersey sleeve and of course i had a Matthews Jersey on.

Auston Pov

I skated around and looked at the fans in the seats. I read a couple sighsas i skated by them. Soon i found myself beside William and Mitch.

"Hey guys you see the girl in front row."

"which on Will there re a lot of girls in the front row?' asked mitch 

"The one right by our bench. long brown hair wearing a matthews's jersey." Will said using his stick to point the girl out 

When I looked at her my eyes widened. She was beautiful and she did have a Leafs Jersey. I could just make out the 34 on the sleeve. She Looked a little cold by the way she was holding onto her Jesery. She bit her lip as she looked than back at the ice. She looked at me and our eyes met, her hazel colour, she quickly looked away due to a guy coming and sitting beside her handing her food and a drink. Soon she was laughing at something he said.

"wow." was all i could say 

"Oh Matthews got a crush?" asked Morgan skating over 

"Oh yeah Matthews got the hots for the hottie over there." said Mitch pointing her out and Morgan laughed

"well she comes to all the games. Her names Daniella and i bet if you give her your number she'll call you." he said before skating off

"How am I going to give her my number?" i asked the guys 

so that's what I did. I skated to the bench and asked for a puck and sharpie. Nobody had asked why so i wrote a quick note and my number. I skated over to her and tapped the glass making her and the guy look up. Her eyes widened at the sight of me. I showed her the puck in my hand before i throw it over the glass.

Daniella Pov

I caught the puck and looked to see writing on it. 

Hey I couldn't help but notice your wearing my number on your jersey and how pretty you are. Give me a call sometime.  226-438-9678 ( Fake Number)

Auston Matthews #34

My eyes widened. 

"Well would you look at that. My little sister caught the eye of the number one draft pick and a Toronto Maple Leaf." said James as I was still trying to get over the fact that Auston Freaking Matthews gave me a puck and his number 

I watchedd the game still in shock of what happened before but I enjoyed the game.At intermission i stood up only to  have a puck hit the glass that was in front of me making me jump. I saw some of the Leafs players laughing as they came back on the ice I laughed so did James. Soon  Auston skated over. 

"Sorry about the guys there just messing around." he said though the crack in the glass.

"It's okay." I said with a smile before he skated off to finish the game. 

Sadly we lost to the Senators 5-4 but it was a great game to watch. Auston had gotten all four goals. On the way out i pulled ouut my phone and texted him.

I was in the locker room when my phone went off but before I could grab it Mitch got it.

"Is it from who I think it's from?" asked Moragn with a laugh

than Mitch read it out load
