Chapter 13: Trouble

'So are you like new here or something? I haven't seen you before?' River asked me as we were walking into the park. 'Umm.. well I'm kind of new I came here a month ago?' I said kind nervous he would ask about my 'friends'. 'So who are your friends in school?' Of course he has to ask that straight after I say I'm nervous he will. 'I..um..a..' I get all confused with words and don't know what to say.

Nathan comes up beside me and puts his arm around my shoulder and helps me out. 'Dude I'm like her best friend isn't that obvious, who else would she need?' River thankfully drops the subject. 'I feel bad for her if your her best friend' River said playfully to Nathan. Nathan put his hand to his heart, 'O how that hurt' He then rubbed a fake tear off his face. 'Ya, ya come on lets go inside twinkle toes' River said to Nathan. We began to follow River but not before Nathan and I made eye contact and I mouthed a thank you to him. He just winked and nodded to me.

The park was huge and filled with many teenagers doing tricks on their skateboards. It was amazing the amount of skill they had like really. They should really make a movie here because they have some skill. There was also a restaurant near the park that's good because I knew I would be hungry after this. The restaurant had a chalk board outside of it and even though we were a good bit away from it I could read the special for today, chicken!! Yay I love chicken! 'Hi Teddy!!' Bella said skipping towards me pulling me out of my trance. 'Wow I love that name T-e-d-d-y I would love to be called after something cuddly and soft but oh no I had to be named after some old poet!' Bella started to pout at this but I just had to giggle quietly to myself. 

'So have you ever done this before Teddy?' Bella said to me all excited and happy. 'haha no actually, I'm kind of nervous really..' I said honestly. 'Oh don't worry you'll be fine I actually started skateboarding when I was seven and have loved it ever since! Here do you wanna see my board!?' Bella asked still as happy as ever. Wow from the moment I've met her she has been smiling that must be so hard for her smiling all the time I know if I.. focus Teddy focus!! 'Ya sure!' I said to her and smiled brightly.

We walked over to the nearest bench and Bella placed her pink adidas sports bag on the bench and when she opened it there it was. The most beautiful skateboard I have ever seen, now I have not seen many but I know this will be one of the best. It was like I was looking at the night sky, it was beautiful. It was a galaxy skateboard. It looked brand new and she flipped the board over and inscribed in fancy writing wrote forever. It was just breath taking. 'Wow..' was all I could say. 'Where did you get it? I asked my breath still taken away. 'Well I made it' She said proudly. I looked over at her confusingly. 'Well not made it made it like I painted it with special paint and inscribed forever on it' I was still confused. 'Well you see you can buy a plain wooden board just down town and you can 'create' your own skateboard!' She said excitingly. 'Everyone in the group has one you'll see when we are skating' She said. I felt kind of left out now as I don't have a board. 'Here I'm guessing you don't have a board you can borrow my old one' Bella said smiling at me brightly. Her old board was painted a white colour and had a splattered colour red on it. It was pretty too. God this girl was creative!

We walked over towards the guys Nathan began to speak to me quietly. 'So what do you think of the guys?' Nathan asked looking into my eyes. 'I love them there all so friendly and nice' I said smiling up at him. 'Good they might be a bit shy at first, well you know Bella isn't shy at first' We both giggled at this 'but don't worry the guys will come around' he looked up at me and smiled but his face suddenly became stiff from something he saw in the distance. I was about to turn around when I felt Nathan grab me and pull me into a hug, what was that for? 'Hey Teddy I never got to thank you for being my friend so.. thank you' he said giving me a more gentle hug then the first one. 'So you want me to teach you how to skateboard? Nathan asked winking at me. 'Sure' I said laughing back.
