Scooter

  "HO-LY CRAP! I can't believe you guys, this is so awesome!" I say as I run to the new scooter my parents got for me.

  I stop beside it and run my hand over the soft leather of the seat. I admire the clean fresh color of teal that was painted on it. It was absolute perfection.

  "Well you said you would rather have a scooter then a car, and we thought it was a good idea so here she is." My stepdad says as he pulls the keys out of his pocket and tosses them to me.

  Being the non coordinated piece of fudge nugget that I am I completely miss the keys and they fall to the ground. I bend over and pick them up before turning toward the scooter and hopping on it.

  "We thought this would be a good one, it's good on gas, is very comfortable and the color is magnificent. Don't you think?"  My mom says  as she smiles at me and wraps her $200 sweater around her waist.

  I just nod my head avoiding eye contact with her. I insert the key and start the scooter.

"It makes hardly any sound at all. Just a small whizzing noise that is hardly noticeable." I say as I rev it.

  "Yeah and it drives so smooth, I really hope you like it?" My stepdad says with a huge smile on his face.

  "I love it! Thank you Devan so much, it means a lot." I say jumping off and run to hug my stepdad.

  "Your mom was the one that said you had mentioned it, so thank her also."  He says motioning toward my mom.

  "Uh th-thanks mom." I say awkwardly.

  "Anytime sweetie, now what do you want us to do with your other cars?" She ask as she looks at the 3 car garage that hold 3 of my 5 cars.

  "Uh I don't know, I never really wanted that many cars." I say as I awkwardly glance in her direction.

  "Oh well, uh I'm sorry, I just wanted you to have them in case something happens." My mom says looking at me.

"It's fine just leave them there, Kyra can have one when she turns 16 and Caston can one also." I say as my step dad walks over and puts an arm around my moms shoulders.

"That will be a long time, are you sure? What about the other 3?" Mom says.

I sigh before answering her. "You can drive one Devan can drive one and then when I need a long distance vehicle I'll drive the other, good sound like a plan?" I say with a little bit of attitude.

"Yeah that will work, hey why don't you go out and show off your new scooter while I talk to your mom, ok?" Devan says as he gives me a side hug.

"Yeah sure! Let me just go get dressed first. Oh and thanks one more time I love it." I say to them as I run in to the house and up the stairs to my room.

I rush in to my freakishly large built in closet and grab a white shirt that said "Here And Now" on it, a black and red flannel, a pair of black skinny jeans and my black boots. Stripping all my other clothes and then throwing the others on. I rush into the bathroom and do some simple makeup and leave my hair in there natural soft waves before topping the outfit off with a black and red bandana.

Grabbing my phone I jog out of my room making sure the door is closed before going down stairs.

"OKAY IM LEAVING!" I yell through the house so my step dad can hear.

"OKAY BE SAFE AND LOVE YOU!" He yells back.

"LOVE YOU TOO!" I say just as I'm opening the door.

"WAIT CASHLYNN YOUR HELMET IS IN THE DINING ROOM ON THE TABLE DONT FORGET IT.!" He yells just before I walk out.

I rush back in and go grab my helmet. It's black with stickers of all my favorite things on there, like Dan and Phil and Green Day.

"THANKS BYE." I yell as I slam the door shut and head to my scooter.

I hop on it and start it up. After putting on my helmet and shoving my phone down my bra I kick up the kick stand and take off.
