My Version of the Inheritance Cycle

Maria's point of view

After the doors had opened in the mountainside she had been led into the mountain by a dark skinned woman ,like some of the people she had seen while in Surda, and an elf with black hair and green eyes. After some walking, they stopped inside a room where the dark skinned woman said,

" I am Nasuada Leader of The Varden, This is Arya the elves' ambassador."

In addition to Nasuada and Arya, there were a couple of guards watching her to ensure she didn't attack anyone. Nasuada said, "will you allow our rider to examine your mind to ensure that what you tell us is true?"

She thought for a moment and then nodded. She wanted to join the varden and if that is what it took she would do it. She didn't really have any secrets that she didn't want them to know since she had already told them that her father was the king.

It wasn't long before The Rider showed up walking beside a dwarf as a rather large blue dragon trailed behind them. He spoke to Nasuada for a moment and then turned to her; He said,

"I am Eragon Shadeslayer will you allow me to examine your mind to determine if we can trust you?"

She nodded again. this time, she lowered the barriers she usually kept around her mind. When his probe came she was expecting it, she never bothered to hide anything from him except for some of her childhood memories, and the ancient language words she knew. As he examined her mind she noticed that he was surprisingly gentle as if he was being careful not to hurt her. After a short amount of time, he withdrew from her mind and she put the barriers back around her mind.

Eragon said to everyone in the room, "you can trust her she is Galbatorix's daughter but she has always hated him and the horrible things that he has done. It seems that Galbatorix had three eggs, not just the two that we knew about. She discovered a white egg and it hatched for her. Her dragon's name is evarína."

Nasuada said, "now that we know you can be trusted we will have to assess your abilities we know that you carry a sword and bow and that you can use magic, but we don't know how good you are with them. Arya will you take her to the training fields and test her abilities."

Arya agreed but just before they left Nasuada said, "when you are finished will you bring her to my office I will need to speak with her and I will also want to hear the results of her testing."

Arya agreed before saying, "Follow me," and lead maria out of the room, heading for the training fields.

Eragon's point of view

After Arya, and Maria left, Nasuada said, "Eragon will you come to my office there are some things I wish to discuss with you."

He replied, "Certainly Nasuada we can head there right now."

Nasuada said, "Eragon you should get yourself something to eat first I suspect you never got a chance before you were summoned."

As if to confirm her statement Eragon's stomach growled. Nasuada said, "That is what I thought, go get yourself some breakfast then come to my office."

He nodded and started walking toward the nearest kitchen, while Nasuada headed back to her office, the office that had only become hers the day before.
