Death is Calling

Introduction

     "Did we find it yet?" A man's voice was heard, there were monkeys in glass like cells eating bananas. The man had a lab coat on, along with 11 of his other companions. They all were inside of a laboratory, gathered around one of the monkeys, the monkey they believe no longer had the disease they injected it with. The disease that killed most of the human's population. The disease known as, cancer.

     "I think we did, however I think we need to run a few more test before we decided that this compound will cure it. Will that be ok with you Bob?" One of the other men said, addressing the man's question. However bob did not like the idea that they were just going to wait, and preform more test to make sure their findings are legit enough to release to the public.

     "I do not think we should wait, my wife is in the hospital right now with this disease, we have the cure for it right here, right now. Why don't we just release it. It is not only my wife that has it, many others are dying from this disease." Bob exclaimed, another man stepped forward and put his hand onto Bob's shoulder.

     "Bob, It will not be that easy, we do not know what this serum can do to humans, we will stay here and continue to preform test, this can either be the best thing that has ever happened in human history, or the biggest mess up that causes something that we can no longer control. As a friend Bob I am sorry for Layla's condition, but there is nothing that we can do for her now. She will go on to a better place." He said.

     "No, I can do something about it, we can just give her the serum, she will be fine, she will wake up and come back home to our son." Bob said while a tear dropped from his eye. Bob had a son that was named Moon. The boy was only 10 years old when his mother took ill, Moon took karate lessons, and lessons in martial arts, along with lessons in the art of using the double bladed katana. 

     "Please Nick, help me." Bob exclaimed while he started to shed more tears. "Enough, I said that we were going to perform more test, and that is final, I will not release something to the public that will not work. I am not going to jail for your stupidity. It is late so go on home, I take it we all have families that we need to worry about." The man stated while the other scientist went home them stayed to talk over their findings.

     "John, you can't just let my wife lay on her dying bed, just because of your own safeties." Bob said to the man. Nick snuck a bit of the serum into a needle, filling the small container. Nick then walked out of the room without another word, waiting outside, waiting for bob to come retrieve what he has stolen.

     "No Bob, go home, case closed, it will not be released to the public until we know for sure, what will happen exactly when this cure is injected." John stated, Bob started to shed more tears escaped his eyes when he walked outside.

      "Here Bob, use this, tell no one that I gave this to you." Nick said giving bob the needle to inject his wife with the serum. That was when Bob immediately ran to his car, turning the engine. He had one objective and one objective only, that was to cure his wife, of her curse, cure her of cancer.

     "I just hope I did the right thing." Nick thought to himself not saying out loud while John walked out heading toward his car. Bob drove toward the hospital, the 3 scientist were now separated from each other. Meanwhile the monkey inside of the laboratory began to turn, turn into something ugly, and started biting at the air, blood dripped from it's eyes while they rolled back, the monkey was now a creature that a human would not be able to identify.

     Bob arrived at the hospital with the shot in his pocket. "Oh hello Mr. Sargove, here to see your wife, she was just rushed to room 225." The nurse said kindly. Bob looked at her and started to walk toward the room through the hospital, passing the emergency rooms, and the waiting rooms. He did not even thank the nurse, instead he just kept walking, wanting to see his wife, so he could inject her with the serum.

      Bob walked into the door of where his wife was kept. She was asleep, therefore Bob was quiet when he walked over to her looking down on her. "This will save you my love. I will come see you tomorrow to see how you are doing." Bob said softly, in a whisper voice before stabbing her with the needle into her vein releasing the serum into her blood stream. From that moment Bob left the room and the hospital returning home.

     Moon was asleep, the baby sitter waited for the man to come back home, so she could get paid. However when Bob walked through that door, paid the baby sitter, and went to bed, he did not know what he just started by injecting his wife with that serum. He just started the biggest war humanity will ever have. A zombie apocalypse.
