The next day Stefan, Damon and Kristina drove to Elena's house to hear about the news on the coffins well-being as they sat in Elena's kitchen.

"It was their mother Esther who was sealed in that coffin." Elena explained putting dishes away in their cupboards.

"As in the original witch?" Kristina asked complexed

"What? How is she even alive? I thought her hybrid freak show of a son ripped her heart out a thousand years ago." Damon questioned, insulting Klaus

"I don't know. I'm guessing she has a couple of connections in the witching community. Elijah said that she wants to live in peace with her family, including Klaus." Elena continued

"She was supposed to be the weapon to help us kill Klaus." Stefan pointed out

"Yeah, well, not anymore. At least, not according to Elijah."

"That coffin was the only thing stopping Klaus from tearing us to shreds." Stefan stated

"Anyone else feeling a little used right now?" Damon drawled out

"Me." Kristina raised her hand and pierced her lips

"Look, Elijah promised me that his family wouldn't hurt any of us." As Elena finished, her doorbell rang and everyone's head turned "I believe him."

Elena left the room to go to the door and Kristina decided she was going to go back to the Salvatore boarding house after receiving a voicemail from Tyler. She didn't want them to listen in, so the best option was to go back home. She said her goodbyes and told Elena she would see her later before walking back to the boarding house.

Opening the door, Kristina put her bag on the table and made her way to the bar, before she sat down. Taking a deep breath she pressed play and put it on speaker.

"Kristina, it's Tyler. I know I should've called sooner. I just kind of freaked out and left. I'm really sorry, Kristina. For everything I put you through. I'm doing what Caroline's dad told me to do. I'm going to fix myself and come home. I love you, always have and always will. Even if we're not together anymore, I just want you too know that."

And then it fell silent. Kristina ended the voicemail and stared at her phone before she was snapped back into reality at a knock on the door. Kristina left her phone on the couch and pulled open the door to see who it was. When she pulled the door open no one was there. She was about to close it when she noticed an envelope and a rectangular box laid on the floor. Kristina picked it up and brought it back to where she was sat before and the envelope read Kristina Marshall written in fancy black writing. Opening the envelope it read:
