XVII. Street

The bus is already at the bus station. Cece arrives there running. She gets on the bus fast. She sees Lily and walks towards her, breathing heavily because of running. 

Cece: I'm here, Lily. (says breathing heavily) 

Lily: Yea, I see you. How did you arrive so fast? (looks at Cece) 

Cece sits down. 

Cece: I ran...uh...(looks at her phone clock) I arrived here in 2 minutes...new record. (laughs a bit) 

Lily: I'm proud of you. (laughs) 

Cece: So what's your first class? 

Lily: Maths..ugh.. 

Cece: Good luck. (laughs)

Lily: I don't need it...trust me. 

Cece hears a notification and looks at her phone. 

Lily: Who are you talking to? (says curious) 

Cece: Denisa. (says replying to a text) 

The bus leaves the station and Zayn has just got on. He walks through the bus, looking for a place to sit but he sees Lily and Cece, so he stops next to them. 

Zayn: Hey, girls! (looks at them) 

Lily: Hey! (looks up at him shortly) 

Cece looks away, nervously trying to ignore him. 

Zayn: How are you two? (says nicely) 

Lily: Fine. (says with a in-no-mood voice) 

Zayn: Good. 

Zayn looks at Cece but she keeps looking at her phone.

Zayn:  The bus is pretty full now...

Lily: Do you want to sit down?

Cece(whispers nervously to Lily): No! 

Zayn:No...Lily?(says not being sure if this is her name) I don't mind standing.

Lily: But I have to get off at the next station.

Cece(whispers to Lily): Why?

Lily: I'm going to buy a new notebook for Maths. 

Cece: Can't you buy it some other time? 

Lily: No, my Maths teacher will give me extra homework if I don't have a notebook. 

The bus stops at the station. Lily stands up and gets off quickly. 

Zayn(says about to sit down next to Cece, where Lily sat): May I...

Cece: Yea. (says paying attention to her phone) 

Zayn sits next to Cece. Cece types on her phone, ignoring Zayn. 

Zayn: How have you been, Cece? 

Cece: Fine. (says shortly, not looking at Zayn) 

Zayn: Are you still dating Michael? 

Cece(laughs): No, Zayn. 

They both stay quiet for 10 seconds. Cece opens a game on her phone and starts playing.

Zayn: Do you play this game?! (says surprised)

Cece nods, paying attention to her phone.

"Game over" appears on the screen of her phone. 

Cece: Ughh...(says nervously) 

Zayn: Did you lose? 

Cece: Yea... 

Cece starts playing again. 

Zayn: I'm guessing that you like this game. 

Cece: It's my favorite game, actually.(looks at Zayn)

Zayn: Cool! It's my favorite game too! 

Cece: Really ? You're the first person that I hear saying that they like this game. (smiles) 

Zayn: Yea, I love it! I would play it too but my phone died. 

Cece: What level are you at? 

Zayn: 21. 

Cece: Really? (says surprised) How did you finish level 19?! I've been trying to pass it for two days. 

Zayn: Oh, it's easy. Can I show you? 

Cece: Yea, please! (says enthusiastically) 

Zayn takes Cece's phone and starts playing. 

Zayn: Look, so when this alien appears, you gotta touch here. (touches a spot on Cece's phone)....aaand...done! Level 20! (winks) 

Cece: Oh my God! Thank you!!  (says happily) 

Zayn: No problem! (smiles) So, do you still have that banana toy? 

Cece: Yea..(laughs) Why wouldn't I have it?

Zayn: I just asked...I bought one two months ago ago too. 

Cece: Really? Why? (says surprised) 

Zayn: I liked yours and...yea, I thought I should buy one too. 

Cece smiles. The bus stops at the station opposite Cece's school. Cece and Zayn get off the bus. They see Lily, Harper and Julia. 

Cece: I go to Lily. Do you want to come too? 

Zayn: Sure. 

They walk towards Lily, Harper and Julia. 

Cece: Hi, Harper and Julia! 

Harper and Julia: Hi! 

Lily: Zayn, can you go and bring me one cappuccino  from there. (shows the shop) 

Zayn: Um...ok...(says as he leaves) 

Lily: Soooo...what did you two do?(teases Cece) 

Cece: Nothing...we...talked... 

Lily: Oh, you talked? 

Cece: Yea...we did, Lily. (looks at her nervously) If you left me alone with him, what should I have done? 

Lily(shrugs): I'm waiting for a thank you. (laughs) 

Cece: Looks at Lily nervously.
