The Start

Days passed before his eyes but he did not even bother to take notice. Time stopped for him from that day five years ago. The world won’t wait for him to get back on his track again but he didn’t want to chase it around either so he remained on that spot, on that page of his life. Everything just happened around him and he just watched in silence. He was set on being that spectator from the outside until death would come and find him.

Sehun stopped wiping the counter with the white cloth on his hands. It was already shining but a little too bright for his liking so he placed the cloth back inside his apron and just stood there like a machine that he was. He lifted his gaze lazily when a customer walked down the aisle towards the counter.

He uttered the words that he was used to say for the six months that he was working at that shop. “Good evening, Sir. What can I get for you?” His voice sounded like from that of a recorder and it didn’t surprise him. If anything, those were the only words he ever said at the place.

The man placed his order and he quickly encoded it in the computer. He told the price and the man paid. He prepared his drink, then the man set off. The same thing happened for the next customers who came in the shop. For five hours, he felt like he was on auto-pilot.

It was near ten in the evening; almost time for the shop to close. The manager told him to start cleaning up already since no one would probably be coming in anymore. He was about to leave the counter and grab a mop when the shop’s bells jingled followed by a set of female voices.

“Really, Daesom, a bubble tea shop? I thought we’re going to the club tonight.” The shortest of the three girls with pixie cut hair said to tallest one on the middle. She looked annoyed that they had to stop over the place rather than going straight to their destination.

“You know Daesom and her unusual cravings.” The one on the right side who had blonde, curly hair spoke.

Sehun knew these girls. He was on the same class with them on some subjects. He didn’t know their names though; he never bothered to know. Except for one.

He soon met eyes with the tallest one on the middle, the one they called Daesom. Her eyes were unreadable, and so were his. They held each other’s gazes for about five seconds. Or probably it was more than that because her friends started watching them with curiosity. They both felt nothing with that exchange, just like that time before.

“You’re Oh Sehun, right?” The blonde one called his attention and he averted his eyes away from Daesom. “We have some classes together.” If he would watch her closely, he would see that faint blush on her cheeks but he ignored it like how he ignored everything in the universe.

“So you work here, huh? Nice.” The pixie girl commented and the sarcasm wasn’t lost to him. Again, he didn’t care. “Daesom, buy what you want now so we could go to the club.”

“What can I get for you?” He used his usual spiel and met the middle girl’s eyes again. He wasn’t sure but it felt like she didn’t stop staring at him from the time she got inside.

“Can I speak to your manager?” Her voice was cold. She spoke with authority. Somehow, he didn’t like it.

Luckily, the shop’s manager was just behind the area and he heard the girl looking for him. He quickly went out and stood beside Sehun. “Is there a problem, miss?”

“I would like to order something but it’s not on the menu.” She stated with that chilly voice, her eyes still not leaving Sehun. Her friends turned to look at her in confusion.

His manager looked uneasy. “Well, we can make special orders. What flavor or drink would you perhaps like to have?”

“Oh, it’s not a flavor. Nor a drink I would like to have.” Her eyes now scanned his face, going down to his body and back again to his eyes.

He knew his manager was puzzled now with the girl. “So what is it?”

Her glazed eyes flitted from him towards his manager. It took a moment before she answered in a calm tone. “I want him.” Her eyes were suddenly back on Sehun, but there was now a fire in them.

“I want you.” As Sehun heard that, on the back of his mind, he felt a page turning.

- END –

A/N: OKAAAAAAAAAY. I said I won’t be updating a chapter for this but this is just some sort of prologue, although maybe a bit long for one. Haha. And I can’t resist not writing this after I dreamed about it last night. LOL.

So how was it? I thought it was pretty lame because I’m still not used in writing this story but oh well, I’m trying. :)) This is just an excerpt from the actual chapter which would be coming not too soon. Haha. But I hope you guys could wait. :D

Thanks so much for checking this out! Saranghaeyo~ <3
