~Lapidot -- Nightmares~

No-one's POV-

It had been four months since Lapis and Peridot first started to share the barn, and so far their friendship bond has grown quite a lot over the past months, Steven had told Peridot and Lapis about this human thing called 'sleeping', he explained that all they had to do was to close their eyes and it sorta just happened after a while, they both tried it out but Peridot didn't quite understand why they did it much, all she knew was that humans can grow 'tired' which will cause them to need sleep. 

The two gems were sat down watching their show Camp Pininghearts, Lapis was mostly laying down on a matress infront of the couch and peridot was just sat on the couch, her half-lidded eyes fixed to the small Tv.

"Really Percy? Stick to your friendship bracelet.." Peridot muttered slightly, watching the Tv looking quite tired. Lapis glanced up at her, and hummed a bit,

"Mmhmm.." Once Lapis saw Peridot's face more clearly she sat up, looking at her curiously. "Peridot are you alright? no offence but you don't look too great.." She asked, looking slightly worried.

"I'm fine.." Peridot mumbled lazily, her eyes closing for a few seconds then opening again lazily.

"Maybe you should get some sleep? I think that since we've tried it a couple times it's been shifted into our systems..." Lapis suggested, watching as the smaller gem slumped down against the couch, her head resting on the arm sighing,

"Alright Lazuli.. But i am fine so there's no need to worry." Lapis only giggled a bit to how stubborn Peridot was being just to hide that she was tired.

"Alright then Peridot, just get some rest."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Timeskip to a few hours-

Lapis woke up to Peridot shifting around on the couch, she tossed and turned as if in distress. The blue gem sat up, gently shaking her friend in worry.

"Peridot?" She said, trying to wake the smaller gem up, She spoke again but slightly louder as she got no responce, "Peridot..!"

Peridot's eyes shot open as she quickly sat up, her breathing heavy in panic, she calmed down slightly when she realised she was still in the barn with Lapis. "Did you have another nightmare..?" Lapis asked, still looking up at Peridot who was now making eyecontact.

"N-no I just uh... Y-yes I did.." Peridot muttered, a darker shade of green pasting onto her cheeks slightly. Lapis sighed, gently rubbing Peridot's arm causing her to jolt slightly. 

"You can always sleep down here if you think it'll help stop them..." Lapis said, smiling slightly as Peridot blushed even more.

"I-it's ok L-lapis, I-" Peridot was cut off when Lapis gave her a stern look, She sighed, reluctantly shuffling off the couch next to Lapis, her blush returning.

"That wasn't so hard was it?~" Lapis giggled teasingly

"B-be quiet you c-clod..." Peridot mumbled, feeling more heat rising to her face. She layed down next to Lapis, She yelped slightly as she was pulled back into a cuddle, Peridot looked at Lapis not knowing how to react to the situation, Lapis just giggled at Peridot's flustered look.

"You're so cute Peri~" She said teasingly, hugging Peridot and gently kissing her forehead.

"I-i'm not c-cute..." Peridot stuttered, relaxing into the hug a bit. After a few minutes the two fell asleep, Peridot snuggled against Lapis (Who is still cuddling her :3) and a blanket pulled onto the two of them.
