Adam POV

I wake up to a text from Brad, Today's the day man. You excited?

I laugh as I text him back, Hell yeah I'm excited man. Tonight's going to be fucking awesome.

I put Transit of Venus on while I take a shower. I'm definitely proud of it, don't get me wrong, but I just feel like something's missing, but I could never figure out exactly what. And then I ran out of time. I love the songs, I love performing them, but this album has a hole in it somewhere that the other guys just don't see.

As I'm brushing my hair, waiting for Brad to come pick me up, I realize something. I'm nervous as hell for tonight's show but I have no clue why. It's going to be a small show, but that's what we like the day of an album release. I go over to the counter and look at the setlist.

I tell myself it's going to be great, that I have nothing to worry about. But still, something doesn't feel right.

When my phone goes off, I expect it to be one of the guys, but it's Jeanie. Of course she would call me, but I know she's right outside, so I open the door and hug her instead of answering the phone. Hearing her laugh makes all of my doubts go away, for now at least. I know Brad's going to be here any minute too, so I go inside and grab my phone, my keys, my bag, and a copy of the set. This is the first tour Jeanie's coming with us, and I'm so excited. We're playing at the Palace again next week, and decided to make another DVD. That's when I'm going to propose. None of the guys know, because I know as soon as I tell one of them, all three will know and someone, most likely Neil, will tell Jeanie. We're using tonight's set for the whole tour, and I'm planning on doing it after Someone Who Cares.

When Brad gets here, we throw our bags in the trunk, and I slide into the passenger seat, punching him in process.

"You know there are nicer ways of saying hello right?"

"What? You want me to kiss you next time?" Of course, I can't keep a straight face and end up laughing my ass off.

"Not that nice bro,"and of course, I'm still laughing.
