Hearts Warming Eve Bells (Past Sins by Pen Stroke)

It was a cold winter night as snow fell from the sky and everypony was snug in their beds. Inside the Castle of Friendship, Twilight struggled with starting a fire in a crystal castle, and Nyx  shivered under a blanket. It was their first Hearts Warming in the new castle and as Twilight quickly learned; crystal is very, very cold. Twilight then wondered how Cadence was doing in the Crystal Empire. After six hours of failing to make a fire, Twilight then had to ask Spike for help. "Mommy, when is Santa pony going to come?" Nyx asked Twilight. "I'm not sure Nyxie" Twilight replied. Silence. "H-have I been a good filly this year;don't lie." Nyx said seriously. "....Well..ummm...." Twilight hesitated; thinking about how the little black alicorn filly had temper tantrums and turned into Nightmare Moon ruling as a tyrant. "Heh...I guess that settles it...I'm not a good pony at the least..heh..heh I'm the worst pony in all of Equestria." Nyx said softly, not noticing the tears streaming down her face. Twilight gasped and her expression grew stern. "Nyx... I don't ever want to hear you say that again, you are not the worst pony in Equestria you're just...mixed but everypony even the princesses have forgiven you. Sure there are some assassins out for you but that doesn't mean that everypony is against you. You are beautiful and amazing just the way you are. Got it?" Twilight said wiping the tears from Nyx's face. "O-okay mommy." Nyx said heavily. "Alright then, let's start reading 'Snowdrop' " Twilight said levitating the book over. Opening the book Twilight began to read to her daughter.
