Just Like Any Other Day...

My eyes squint at the bright sun, the bright morning has hit. My name is Jacklen, a 12 year old girl that is a pretty lovable otaku at school. I have plenty of friends, and I kinda like one of them...isn't life just perfect! My mom calls me to eat her special waffles and fruit dish and I eat it all up! My dad usually works early, so we won't see him often. After eating breakfast, I say farewell to my mom and walk out the door. The air isn't the very best here, so I wear a face mask everyday. I see all my friends at the sidewalk and walk up to them. I hug them all, but my friend Calvin. He's the one I have a slight more liking too, so I just pat him on the back. We walk together to school, right before the bell! This is where it's homeroom and we all seperate. It's only me, and my two of my friends, Jerrick and Calvin. "Late again you three," smiles our teacher and looks at me, Jerrick and Calvin. We all smile at each other and walk away. We all get to sit anywhere, so us three always sit together everyday. After taking out seats, our teacher lectures us about codings and stuff. So, I look out the window and look at the sky, "another nice day isn't it" and smile at myself. A few minutes past and it's starting to get a little hot in the room, but we have to keep the doors and windows closed due to the air. "It sure is a lot hotter than usual. I mean it's usually cooler here," I whisper to my friends. "It's getting hot in here! So take of all your clothes!," Jerrick sings in a funny voice. "Oh it's getting hot in here, Imma take my clothes off!," Calvin continues in a voice impression of a girl, while unzipping his jacket. Me and Jerrick cringe and start cracking up. Calvin starts laughing too. The teacher didn't seem to care, since we started out group work already, she usually plays Candy Crush. "Ok seriously, it's hot in here right?," I question again. Calvin seems to nod in agreement while Jerrick just shrugs with his signature weird face. "Maybe a hot day out?," Calvin responds. I look out, eyeing the side near the sun, but obviously not directly. "Doesn't the sun seem a bit bigger and, hot?," I observe. "Yeah, I think your right!," Calvin says. Jerrick stands up and walks in a weird squatting position and goes to the teacher. "AYE TEACHER! Look at das sun, looks off aye!," Jerrick tells the teacher in an off voice again. The teacher squints and looks outside. "Shit, it is bigger...." "Lol what!," Jerrick giggles. Calvin and I walk up to Jerrick and the teacher. "So, what's wrong?," Calvin asks. "Well I need the restroom so...," Jerrick mumbles awkwardly as he walks away to the restroom. After that, the teacher announced," if it gets any hotter, we will have to do a lockdown...." Calvin and me had our eyes busted WIDE OPEN! "Lock..down," I mumble. Our other peers started whispering to each other in concern. "Don't panic...Jacklen and Calvin knows what to do!," the teacher acknowledges the class. Me and Calvin turn to the teacher, making a face to show she was out of her mind. "You two are the top students in this class, so zip it and try to know what your doing!," our teacher whispers to us. "You owe us something BIG TIME! Including something for Jerrick," I demand. "Fine, fine, just go then, and keep watch of that sun!," our teacher agrees as she pushes us two towards our seats. "I'll keep watch of the sun, you just work on our project ok," Calvin calmly says to me and shows a small smile. I nod and get to the project. "How is he so freaking calm! Literally coolest dude in the school. Good thing he isn't that interesting to anyone...," I think in my mind as I code the actions in our project. For a moment, I turned to take a glance of the sun, it got...bigger? "Calvin, should we say somethi-." I was cut off when Calvin grabbed my arm and ran outside the class with me. "CALVIN WHAT'S WRONG!?," I shout to him. He answers with silence. Where are we running to? The restrooms. I almost forgot Jerrick was still in the restroom, what the heck is he doing? We stop at the point we're right in front of the restroom, where Jerrick is. "Jerrick! Jerrick you done yet! There's not alot of time for you to be doing this right now!!," Calvin demands. "Shut up Calvin! I'm going," Jerrick answers. "Ok, this is kind of awkward, should I get the rest of our frie-," "No. They should be fine, they're smart too," Calvin cuts me out again. "Look Jacklen, there's a nuke shelter that is for three people at my house for my friends, while my parents takes this other one they've built. That sun, is going to crash into Earth Jacklen."
