So this is a poem related to the novel 'Chains' by Laurie Halse. I actually did this at school for a project and I wanted to share it. Also, go check out oods_are_odd. She has a really good story being posted right now. She is also my friend outside of the internet. So without further ado, LETS GET INTO IT!

Invisible Chains

Silently dragging me down.

Clinging onto me, like an infant.

Whenever freedom is in sight, they pull me back.

My masters keep me locked down to their needs.

My sister keeps me moving forward.

A woman feeds me false hope.

The boy helps me toward a breath of fresh air.

But I will always be held back by them.

The man barely acknowledges I exist.

The woman makes fear leap in my heart.

Bellingham glances daggers through my wish.

They've restrained me again.

They have kept me from succeeding

And yanked me back.

When will they break,

My Invisible Chains?

How's that? I don't usually do poetry so this was a little awkward. Yeah, this whole thing might just be school assignments I am proud of. I love to read comments so please don't be shy. HAVE A GREAT DAY OR WHATEVER TIME IT IS!
