~Paris France, the Spring of 1763~

The war was finally over; Mama, Papa and I walked along the Paris streets admiring the fancy clothes and the delicious foods as the celebration of the treaty continued.

I remember it as if it was yesterday the sweet smell of freshly baked pastries, the bittersweet scent of coffee and tea, a little girl who was upset because she spilled a drink on the freshly washed dress she chose to wear for that day and her father, who simply chuckled with a smile, told her it would be okay because it was just an accident and that they would be able to get the stain out once they arrived back home.

That was a beautiful day, a beautiful day up until my mother lost a husband and I lost a father. This is a day of which I want nothing more than to forget.

...

~Paris France, the Fall of 2015~

A cold wind brushed up against my face as I hung like a chandelier from the ceiling approaching the ground quietly, swiftly and calmly completely out of sight from the naked eye; at least that's all I could hope for.
It's a calm, cold, quiet night and Gabriel Agreste is hosting his 15th fashion show in the time span of 4 months. I, Amber Eden; have successfully purloined 2 outfits from 8 separate shows each, out of the 15 fashion shows he has put on.

Fortunately for me, I have yet to be caught, however, it seems as though I have left a trace of my presence every time I come and take more outfits. It seems Gabriel is starting to catch on and keeps upping his security, though I doubt he's a match for Coral and I.

Coral is one of my best friends she has been there for me ever since she was placed in Foster care, I have been there ever since my parents were killed; Coral was placed in Foster care about 12 years ago she was 3 at the time, and I've taken care of her ever since, she sees me as a sister while I see her as a friend.

As confusing as it might be, I am actually 17000 years old and have been around since almost the beginning of time, not quite though.
I took care of her when she was little and as she grew up, she started to take care of me, it almost felt as if she was doing it knowing I used to do it for her.

Sooner then later, I finally reached the ground I have been inching towards for the past minute and a half. The moment my feet touched the ground, I stealthily walk over to a clothing rack and quickly scan the clothes, and the sizes to determine which one I would be taking for Coral and I.

"And finally ladies and gentlemen we have- OH! " A woman's crisp, yet gentle voice boomed through the speaker however, her voice was short-lived as she proceeded to fall through some wooden panels beneath her.
I immediately stopped scanning the clothes and look towards the direction of where the woman would have been standing. I then proceed to look up at Coral who I see snickering to herself, I smile at her and shake my head as I continue to grab 2 outfit filled hangers and stuff them in a duffel bag that just so happened to be lying next to the clothing rack.

"You sure do have a knack for creating diversions, don't you?" I asked Coral as I began to get closer to the opening in the roof. "I can't really help myself, I just hope she didn't get hurt." her voice was gentle and laced with guilt.

"Are you okay Coral?" I asked once I got to the top. We then began to gather our things and shove items into a duffel bag that Coral had brought the supplies in.
She shrugged with a half smile "Like I said, I just hope she's not hurt. To be honest, Amber, I didn't exactly think that one through." She hung her head as we began to walk home for the night.

"Well, now you'll have learned from your mistake and you won't do it again, you'll think before you act. That's what counts Coral, don't beat yourself up about it besides, I can't wait for you to see the outfit I got you, I think you'll really love it." I said with a giggle as I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and proceeded to hurry her off towards our home a little faster than we were originally going.
