"A/cephobia isn't real."
That right there is phobic.
Acephobia is as real as your assholery.
• We are told that we are too young to know how we identify;
• We are forced to live in an overly sexualized society;
• We are told that we cannot have a healthy relationship without sex. Because you know, sex is so super duper important. (Not);
• We literally cannot find someone aesthetically pleasing without being teased or made fun of or told "I thought you were ace;"
• We get virgin shamed because we haven't had sex or our first kiss yet
• And if we aren't virgins, we get slut shamed;
• We are told to stop trying to worm our way into the LGBT+/SAGA community because so many people want to believe that A means "Ally;"
• Being told that A means "Ally" silences us;
• Some of us went through corrective rape because some creeps wanted to "fix us;"
• Fox News called us lepers;
• Ungrateful pricks will complain about finding out that their spouses/partners are asexual because they were apparently lied to. I understand why you're upset, but do you know how hard your partner tried to make you happy?
• We are told we are just confused;
• We are called sociopaths and narcissist;
• And ironically, we get discriminated against because we apparently aren't discriminated against enough.
Please stahp with this. Thank you.
I just wanted to get that off my chest. The "acephobia isn't real" thing makes me so angry. I don't even understand why it's a thing. We aren't doing anything. We aren't doing anyone.
