Perrie's story
"When I was a little girl, I used to believe that I was an heroine, just like Harry Potter. I was identifying myself to this poor young boy, who's story took over the planet. I could feel him more than most people who had read the book, simply because I was sharing a few same aspects of life. I knew how he felt before he became a wizard, when he was locked in the small storing room under the staircase. "
"After my eleven's birthday, I came to realise that nothing special would happened to me. But I kept on waiting for the massive Hagrid to come through that door, even if I knew he never would. I know it sound crazy for you, but I had a hard life, just like people in books, and I thought that some day, something good and amazing would happened to me, just like in the books."
" Did it happen?" Asked the teenager sitting on the sofa in front of her.
" Sort of... But before I tell you the good part of the story, I need to tell you the bad. Because there is no true story without the bad parts. It is not all fairies and love you know. It is also about suffering, and fear and about death. I won't lie to you and tell you that life is beautiful when it's not, even if that's what your parents would expect me to do! You want to hear my story, and I can tell you, but don't expect me to be kind or understanding because I'm your grand mother."
" I'm not a child any more! I'm fifteen! I can ear that!" The girl stated, exasperated by the older woman's attitude as any teenager would probably be. " Just get started already!"
"All right, all right! Let's get started then!" said the old woman, amused by the young girl attitude. "When I was young, I didn't had the best parents. I wasn't one lucky bitch like you could find in the small town I grew up in, I was one bloody average looking girl actually! And I quiet hated myself for that, because I was rather hard on myself at the time! I remember, all the pressure from the society, this all business and advertisement about being beautiful and skinny. Not that I was having a hard time being thin or anything... Because as I said, I didn't have the best parents. You will never realise how lucky you are!"
" Lucky? I can't even go to parties, because they think I'm too young!" The tall youngster complained childishly.
" I couldn't go either you know?" Asked the aged one rhetorically. "My parents used to just lock me in my bedroom for days. I was just in the dark as I had no window, and the light button was outside the room. I would lay there, on the floor for the longest hours. It was cold, because we had no money to pay the bills, and it was wet because the roof was falling apart. The longest I had ever been lock for was three days, three long days without food, just a small bottle of water that I used to hid in the room. I had to hid it under a floorboard, because if they knew I had it, they would have taken it away from me."
" Why would they do that?" She asked surprised.
" Because they were under the influence of drugs." She explained patiently and with the wisdom that time gave her. " Because they didn't really ever have any notions of how bad what they were doing was. And because they never liked me. I was nothing but an expensive problem for them, and if their little games and experiences could have killed me, it would probably have been a plus. This is how I learned life. The hard way. But when I was in high school, it all changed."
" You met grandpa'?" She asked excited about the cliche love story she thought were coming up.
" No, not really." The elder laugh, a genuine smile on her lips. " It simply got worst. Because some girl hated me, and started to bully me for one stupid reason. One of the boys used to like me, and she was in love with him. So she decided that the whole school should hate me just for existing just like she was doing."
