The announcers finish saying things about homecoming and I just sit there watching everyone talk about homecoming. Honestly it's just not that I dont have a date I do have one it's just Allen has been acting weird. I mean Allen asked me to homecoming even before they announced the homecoming prices.

I look around and notice Shawn my best friend staring at me in a way he usually doesn't look at me . His staring makes me uncomfortable so I decide to continue doing my essay my language arts teacher assigned us.

I go to my locker to get my things for my Spanish class. I hear someone's footsteps get closer so I turn around quickly and I realize we are both on the floor. I slowly stand up and see those amazing brown eyes and notice that its Shawn.

"Y/N?" Shawn asks making me jump out of my thoughts quickly

"Mm? I say in response

"I asked you if you are okay or if you need to go to the nurse." Shawn says looking concerned

"Don't worry I'm fine... I just have a lot on my mind. I reply still looking at the floor"

"Yea I bet." Shawn replies looking kinda angry

"I'm sorry but what do you mean?" I ask looking really confused at his comment

"Well your jerk of boyfriend told everyone you two are going to homecoming together." Shawn answers looking really mad

"Yea of course I'm going hes my boyfriend and plus he asked me weeks in advance."I reply

"Why in the world would you go with a jerk like that." Shawn says very loudly but not loud enough so every can hear

"Shawn... Newsflash he's my boyfriend." I answer

"Y/n,  You told me you guys broke up a couple months ago." Shawn says finally calming down

"Well we got back together." I reply

"Why you told me you thought he was cheating on you?" Shawn asks

"Well he isn't." I said

"You told me he wasn't acting the same... You told me he was acting strange." Shawn said

" He was for a couple days but now he's okay." I reply knowing I'm lying

"Really? Then where is your boyfriend Allen? Where is your gentlemen of a boyfriend?" Shawn asked

"H-Hes retaking a test." I say stuttering

"Really?" Shawn asks

"Yes really." I answer lying once again

"Okay fine." Shawn says finally giving up on his questions

"Thanks." I say

"No problem.... But we better get going to Mr. Duncan's class you know how he gets when we are late." Shawn says laughing slightly

"Yea youre right " I say closing my locker

I was going to ask her to homecoming but the jerk of her boyfriend  Allen asked her first. I know she's cheating on her with her best friend Madison but I don't wanna tell her because I know this will rip her apart and I don't want that. Months ago I saw her when Allen broke up with her she was a wreck she was broken. But if I tell her that he is cheating on her with her best friend she will be destroyed.

I walk up to my locker to get my stuff and put any extra things away. This time my boyfriend is coming my way.

"Y/n, Hey sorry but dinner is cancelled and I can't take you home can you get a ride from that Mendes guy?" He asks
