What I want takes risk and confidence
I don't have either of those things
It involves talking to people and putting myself out there
On stage, I put myself out there
I put all of me up for the world to see
But with you, I can't seem to
In real life, I don't talk to anyone unless I have to or they're my friends
I find ways to make things awkward
I don't even mean to

My supposed silence scares people away
I'm friendly
I just don't go out of my way to be
I like to hang out with people and talk to them
I just need others to start the conversation and get the thoughts flowing
But people think I'm cold and heartless
When really, I'm just me
