Chapter 26 • Fun

Start from the beginning

I finally made it to my not so final destination from my up and down trip. The more I thought of it, I could have first gone to Better Days, then gone out shopping to save time and gas. I rolled my eyes at my own stupidity and I went into the café.

I saw that Robbie wasn't there yet, but Tristan, Sarah and Clarissa were there. Clarissa is kinda tall and has her long hair dyed a bright blue which compliment her amber eyes and Sarah is Pakistani and she has short jet black hair, with brown eyes and she's short.

"Hey people." I greeted as I got closer to the table and I got a variety of different greetings back. I noticed something out of the ordinary and I noticed that Tristan is a bit peppier than usual.

"I'm back!" Robbie said as he burst out from the kitchen doors.

"Oh, you're here?"

"In the flesh." He cockily gleamed and brushed off imaginary dust off his shoulders.

"He's been here all morning, and don't even get me started on the screaming he calls singing." Clarissa ran her hands through her hair.

"I still think I would win an award."

"Yeah, for the most windows broken in under a minute." Tristan smirked.

"Who put rainbow butterfly cupcakes in his socks this morning?"

"What?!" Sarah, Clarissa and Tristan exclaimed.

"Why is he in a good mood?" Robbie explained.

"Oh." They all said in understanding.

"We've tried to get something out of him and he just won't budge." Clarissa poked Tristan's shoulder.

"Ooh, let me guess is it Indigo?" I clapped excitedly and Tristan blushed at the sound of Indigo's name.

"It is!" Robbie also clapped.

"Who?" Clarissa asked.

"One of my friends that works at a ice cream parlor." I quickly explained.

"Ooh, she sounds exotic." Clarissa rubbed her hands together.

"I'm just gonna go and, um, clean the tables." Sarah said as she quietly walked away and I looked at her feeling very bad for bringing the subject up. It must've hurt her a lot. You see, she has known Tristan since they were running around playing in the sand pit. As they grew, she kinda developed a crush on him but Tristan never sees it and even though she knows he doesn't see it, she still likes him. One day they were having a special moment when they were doing something they loved as kids and Tristan told Sarah that he loves her...like the sister he never had.

"Spill." Clarissa and Robbie were both poking Tristan on his shoulder and I joined.

"I shouldn't be spilling anything, your attention should be on her." Tristan pointed at me.

"What?"
"How?"
"Me no understand."

"Let me just spill everything all at once." Tristan had a mischievous smirk on his face which looked very foreign on his facial features. "Well you see, Indigo and I were just passing Starbucks yesterday-"
