Chapter 10 | Cole

Start from the beginning

I stumbled out of the twin size bed and quietly crept my way over to the door. I turned back to see Gianna snuggled in the blanket, still sleeping. Now for the walk of shame, that I'd sadly gotten used to.

When I got downstairs, I was surprised to see the house was practically clean. There were some other people sprawled over the couch and on the floor.

"Morning, Cole," Violet said as she entered the living room from the kitchen. She held a plastic bag filled with used red plastic cups and other rubbish.

"Oh, hi." I spun around to face her.

"I have to wash was my brother's sheets because of you. I wouldn't want him to come home to see that some strangers have made a mess on his bed." She said casually.

"Well, I used a condom. There isn't any evidence on his actual bed, it's in his bin," I smirked.

"You lay it on think with the cologne sometimes, Cole. Must mess with your head. I don't need him smelling his sheets and realising someone else has been in his bed," she mentioned.

I shrugged, not really caring.

"So, you and Gianna, huh?" She said, "Who would've thought she would slut it up with you."

"She's not a slut, though." My attempt to try and defend Gianna.

"Not?" Violet scoffed, "Everyone who gets with you is."

"So I guess you are too then."

"Never said I wasn't."

Her passive-aggressiveness was to be expected. She wasn't happy that I hooked up with someone other than her. One minute she could be sweet and pining after me, the next, she was a downright bitch. I briefly wondered how I ever ended up sleeping with her and why I even bother to give her the time of day. This girl was nothing but a nuisance.

I said, "Well, I'm gonna leave now."

"And what about Gianna? You're just gonna leave her lying in my brother's bed?" She said.

"You were the host of the party last night." I gave her a fake smile. "Gotta take care of your guests." Was the last thing I said before I closed the door to leave.

-

It was only Saturday afternoon and I was still out of whack from the party.

Mycah and Dylan burst through the door without knocking.

"Ah, and he's still alive!" Dylan exclaimed.

I groaned, "How are you out and about? You were just as smashed as I was."

"You're such a lightweight, man," He said, which was false information.

"I am not a lightweight," I grumbled.

"Did you take any aspirin?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"How was the party? Saw you with that quiet chic." Mycah spoke up.

"Was she any good, by the way?" Dylan asked, knowing all too well that I slept with someone last night. I refused give any input about Gianna's skill level in the bedroom. Dylan didn't need to know.

Mycah let out a half disgusted grunt at our conversation. He never understood why we fooled around with all the girls so much. He definitely wasn't a virgin, though.

"Why can't you guys just find a girlfriend to settle down with?" He asked.

"Well, it's not like you've got a girlfriend to settle down with," Dylan said.

"Settle down? We are eighteen. Who are you? Isaac?" I said.

A little glare followed by a chuckle was the reply from Mycah.

I turned to Dylan, "She's alright, not that experienced from what I could tell. Then again I was kinda lousy on my part. I just couldn't get into it."

"Wonder why?" Mycah said.

-

After the boys left I went up to my room.

I liked when they were around, just us three. It wasn't crowded but I didn't feel lonely. Sometimes it was too loud and annoying them with the rest of the group over.

I looked over to my bedside table to see a picture framed with me and my arms around someone.

That person is gone now. It's all my fault too.

I needed to get these thoughts out of my head. But I can't drink this time to do it. I did that way too often.

I sigh in annoyance.

I think of Mycah and his little brother. They had such a good bond, they were always happy together.

I envied it.

I've only heard Myles laugh a few times. When he does it's because of Mycah. His laugh is rhythmic. That first time I heard it I remember snapping my head to the side to look at him, and felt my heart jump a little.

He was really cute.

I groaned when I remembered what I did. He must hate me now. What was I thinking? I kissed a boy. I wasn't even disgusted. Like honestly, I can't believe it.  And I initiated it!

I thought back to the scared and pained look on his face. He was so easily frightened.

If Mycah found out, he'd kill me.

It bothered me, though. The way I had left things with Myles. I shouldn't have punched him and left him. Hell, I shouldn't have... kissed him. I needed to apologise and then I can just ignore him.

Update:
This chapter was heavily edited in one part. In fact, I changed a whole scene that I was not happy with and neither were other readers.

Finally up to double digits as far as chapters go. I would really appreciate if you guys, would vote, comment and all that, it will help give me an insight on how I'm doing, Thanks.
