Dark Woods

Chapter 1

As a plane was flying over a endless sea of blue and white, a young boy in his mid thrites was looking very nervous and was fiddling with a piece of paper. He was wearing a large carmel sweater ( obviously too big for him) with a white polo shirt underneath, he whore blue jeans with black converse. Under all that curly brown hair was a pair of circle glasses and a pair of hazel eyes furrowed. His name is Alexandru Albescu (lets call him alex for short) he was fiddling and looking at a piece of paper with neat cursive writing. Alex sighs and looks out at the plane window and thinks ( "This is the first time I heard from my father who moved to U.S. He hasent contacted me at all sense mother died but now all of a sudden he writes a letter to me saying to come meet him at a town called "Salem" where he lives. This information is confusing me so much") Alex turns his head away from the window and looks at his fellow passengers. In the middle of the seat was a young girl with looonnng wavy black hair, dark forest green eyes, she has a plaid shirt on with some black shorts and black slips ons. She seemed to be completely focused on a book that says Fifty shades of Colors, (what a strange book) Alex wonders. The girl noticed Alex staring at her book and says, "You've been staring at my book for awhile is there anything that you need to say to me?" Alex hears a british accent that sounds like heavenly bells. Alex quickly looks up and was all flustered that he was caughtand said quickly, "Oh I'vm sorry to stare but your book caught my attention!""Oh it's all right luv, and may I ask whats your name?" She responds with a nice tone. "M..my name is Alexandru...b..ut you can can call me Alex" he respond flustered. The girl smiles at him and says, "Nice too meet you Alex my name is Julia Jones." They began to talk about all different types of things like jobs, school, home, and etc all the time on the plane. As they finished talking about their favorite shows the pliots voice came on and said that they will be landing the plane on the runway. "Oh my gosh I can't believe we talked all the way through!?" Julia exclaims. "Yeah time sure does go by." Alex responded, the flight attendant began dismissing that passenger's when they touched down. As Julia and Alex got off and went to the suitcase pick-up and asked Julia, "Where do you plan in going?","Well im planning on meeting my family in NY so I'll have to take another flight. What about you Alex where are you going ?" Julia asked. "I'vm going to meevt my dad here and were going to Salem" Alex responded. "Ooohhh how fun is that! Oh I have to go Alex! I dont want to miss my next flight!" Julia quickly says. She pulls out a small piece of paper and gave to Alex. It was a phone number on it that says below it (Hey I'll give you my phone number so that we'll keep in touch! It was nice too meet you!) When Alex looked up to respond Julia wasent there, Alex sighed and had a light blush on his pale cheeks. After finding his suitcase Alex had to fight against a sea of people (due to his small frame) He found a row of people holding up white signs and Alex looked for the one that said his name. He found a tall older man in his late fiftys with short brown hair, with brown eyes, with a bread. The man had on a dark plaid shirt that was tucked into dark blue jeans. The sign said Alexandru Albescu. (Jackpot) Alex says to himself,  he walks toward the man and they looked at each other for a minute. Then Alex said "Hi..dad." The man smiled and wraped his arms around Alex and said, "Hello my boy long time no see" Alex returned the hug and they both got out of the airport and headed to the airport parking lot. They stopped near a old black pick-up truck, the dad took out his keys and unlocked it. They both got in and started heading out to Salem. The ride there was quit untill the dad said "How has it been for you in Romania Alexandru?". "My time living in Romania was never forgeting experience." Alex responded to his fathers question. His father nodded and the ride was quiet all you could hear was the radio station playing. Alex looked at the car window and saw a thick canopy of trees that covered everything. As Alex look at the dark trees he saw a sign that said 'Welcome to Salem!' Alex turned away from the window and saw buildings growing larger the more they got closer. When the got to town, Alex saw alot of old fashioned stores and buildings the only thing that looked modern was a coffe shop thats called Witch's Cauldron. His dad drove further down the town road and they came apon old apartments that looked outdated. Alex's dad pulls up to parking lot and stops the truck. They both got out and Alex and his dad began taking out Alex's boxes and suitcases, then they begins to take them up the old metal rusted stairs until they came to a door on the fourth level. The door number was 31. Alex's dad rummaged into his pockets and pulled out a gold key and opened the apartment. The apartment had a circle table in the middle of the room, the small kitchen was on the right side, there was a fireplace on the far left side of the wall with a door next to it, and on the left side near the front door was a sprial stair case that led to up stairs. Alex's father took some of the suitcases upstairs to a room that had a queen sized Victorian bed with a door that leds to the bathroom. When Alex's father was done he said to Alex, " I'll be going now I have to go to work we'll talk more later." Before Alex spoke his father hurried down the stairs and left the apartment. Alex groaned and fell on his bed and began to think of what he can do to pass the time.
